Tonight , my 2 year old reached over the glass where the burrito grill is . The chipotle worker aggressively grabbed my son’s hand and told him to keep his hand to his self . I said “please do not touch my child” . Instead of apologizing, she doubled down on her behavior and said “you shouldn’t let your kid reach over or grab the glass “ . I asked her what her name was she wouldn’t tell me . I asked for a manager and there wasn’t one available . While fixing our dinner , she put about half of the normal amount of rice , just enough to cover the bottom of the bowl it was done on purpose everyone in line could see it . Since she was overly aggressive and confrontational I chose to stay quiet and asked for “double portions” so my bowl size would come out as a normal serving . I’ve brought my son to this specific chipotle several times . We’ve never seen her before . She is an older woman who has the mannerisms of an addict or alcoholic. She couldn’t have been more rude or disrespectful. I was still charged for double portions , I asked for sour cream on the side and they placed it on top of my food . It’s difficult enough having a 2 year old in line waiting while their hungry as a single dad . When I got to the register , I told them I asked for double portions but she wouldn’t give them to me , she then yelled down the line so her voice would be louder than mine telling them “I gave him double portions” you need to charge him . I’m not sure what the policy is nowadays but the employees should have name tags especially when handling food and serving it to the community . This chipotle location is in Deerfield / Mason area , you’d think their staff would show more professionalism in...
Read moreI initially ordered online for my food to be delivered to my job, (which wouldn’t have been the first time) . The fajitas were nearly raw and have never been cooked like that at any location I’ve been to. So since this location was very close, I decided to see if I was able to get an accommodation of some sort. I expressed my dissatisfaction to one of the managers. He was a black guy, very polite and explained they are supposed to be “cooked” like that and I explained it has never been that way but I wasn’t going to make a huge deal about it. They offered to remake the burrito and I was okay with that but asked if I could at least get extra chicken. The manager asked the another manager if that was okay, he said in a very short and rude way that, no, I could only have it remade. Then I proposed that if I could just get a discount with the extra. Again, very rude and no accommodation to that even though I was willing to pay when I shouldn’t have to. I wasn’t upset at the beginning but I was very pissed due to the other manager’s rude/short behavior. Ended up getting a refund for the food and threw it away. My main complaint is the poor customer service from an individual who is at the very top of the chain of this physical location. Which probably explains why the lady who was at the food counter was rushing me to get the manager’s (who was polite me ) attention while he was already assisting two customers ahead of me. It seems like nowadays, people aren’t being qualified for the way they are to interact with...
Read moreWell, the food was o.k. but the service made the remainder of the visit lame. You have 2 people that each do 1.5 of 3 things in an assembly line fashion. The starch and half meat person had to ask for my order twice within 15 seconds, which were 2 duplicate orders. The following person didn't have to make me repeat myself, but did proceed to sprinkle cheese 'dust' on my items, requiring me to ask for more cheese, twice, on each item, effectively making me feel like a greedy cheese loving a-hole cow. The final person on this dystopian food service journey was to bag my items and obtain funding. This happened as planned, but my attempt to uplift folks (who clearly didn't want to be there) by vocally projecting gratitude and appreciation, was met by a very robotic request of a specific dollar amount and then no responses or acknowledgement of any further dialogue. The store was dirty, things weren't stocked, and the line moved unnecessarily slow.
About 3 years ago, maybe 2, this company changed. It seems like they are doing everything possible to cut labor costs and due to such a lack of enthusiastic management exists. The end result is an unmotivated teen work force that really isn't focused on the customer experience. I suspect this is why we're seeing so many customers getting sick from eating here.
Tldr: The food is good if made properly by an empathetic staff. Like any food service/restaurant, the employees make all...
