Burlington — Local services in Deerfield Township

I always thought of Burlington as being a more affordable store to shop. I went there 2 days ago, and I actually enjoyed shopping there. Everything is well organized and selection is dissent. I am a fan of TJMaxx and Marshalls, so I ended up comparing the two. I feel like kids clothes is priced relatively the same, but kids shoes are pretty expensive. I bought 3 sets of clothes for my toddler there and then went to Marshalls and got 2 pairs of shoes - Adidas and Carter's- for the price of 1 pair I would get at Burlington. I only wish clearance items would be places separate so it was easier to hunt for a better deal. I also haven't seen much on clearance either. I love shopping clearance at TJM and Marshalls as you almost always find a little something there you end up buying when you were not looking for it...

My daughter ¹³ found some cute items in the selection here, and they were decently priced. (Thank Goodness!) The service unfortunately, was not good. There was nobody at any of the register(s). Finally somebody shows up and starts ringing in customers, the line starts moving. When we get to the counter, I noticed that the lady working the register, was not happy at All. It appeared that she had a pretty bad attitude. But the most upsetting thing was how she got snippy at my daughter. Who has done nothing wrong, simply tried asking a question and was snap at! by employee! I stepped in. I didn't complain about the VERY LONG LINE bc once my daughter had her bags in hand🤑🛍, I saw a BIG SMILE😁🤗😆on HER face😁. It made me "almost" forgot about the ridiculous store...

I went to get a refund. The cashier refunded me. Transaction done. The drawer pops open. Cashier notices her drawer is short of change.

She gets the manager. That manager a white lady red head. She sized me up and down. Then said we don't do refunds on perfume.

I mean I dont normally refund from burlington but I needed to the product smelled awful. I told the manager..." ma'am I've done this before".

She said we don't do refunds on this.

I left..... went to another location. I believe this man was a general manager. A kind white man. Since it showed I got a refund. Even though I got the product. He gave it to me a refund on a gift card.

Either the manager at the burlington in mason is either prejudice and or bias....
