WORST EXPERIENCE. We've been coming to this location for years. We had a guest fly in this evening and requested Skyline as her 1st meal this visit. Since we've always had great experiences at this location, we naturally chose this restaurant. Terrible mistake. We once knew everyone's name and this time recognized no one. The restaurant was only moderately busy but the service was really bad. A server that didn't remember anything. When the food was delivered to the table she had to ask what was missing and then commented, "ok, I'll go have them make that". Food items were out and they delivered the food trying to disguise the item they were out of. BBR chilitos with cold cheese and maybe a teaspoon of BBR. A burrito with no bean mix. When brought up, it was said, "the bean mix is just really runny tonight, it's in there". They turned away customers that were wanting to carry out food. They ended up placing a Panera order and left. The food prep, quantity and quality was terrible. When we vocalized that our experience was terrible, the server said, "oh it was? Well it is the holiday season". Actually I think it's poor training and reflective of a poor job done by the "manager" Cody. When there is a voiced concern, the manager should speak to the customer. Cody was too afraid and stood near the drive thru bay and listened from there. If this location isn't corrected soon, I don't foresee longevity. From now on, we'll go to the Landen location or drive to Blue Ash for...
Read moreWe’ve been eating Skyline since the 1970s. Our family loves it. Today, it was inedible.
The coneys were soggy and falling apart. The chili had the consistency of water and almost no flavor at all. The adults couldn’t finish their meals. The kids took one taste and stopped.
We brought this up to our server. Her response? “I’m so sorry. Here’s your bill.” We walked to the register and complained. She kept giggling. When we insisted that we were not joking she said “Oh! So sorry about that. That will be $47”
I was shocked we had to pay for food we couldn’t eat. But the employee said “Sorry, I can’t take anything off of your bill.”
This place used to be great. Now it’s the worst in the city. Avoid at all costs.
EDIT: 3 weeks ago I emailed as requested in the "Response by the owner" - Unsurprisingly, I never received a reply. Turns out this is a corporate Skyline. The franchises...
Read moreVisiting from California, inspired by the late Anthony Bourdain's episode on Cleveland, gave this place a try. Got the coney dog with the habanero cheese and the small 4 way onion also with habanero cheese. A dollop of hot sauce on each and oyster crackers on the pasta. Dang, blew my expectations away. Was expecting to file that in my bank of "well, I tried it, but I won't try it again" moments, but I liked it to the point where I wish I had gotten a larger size instead of the small. Will definitely stop by again on my next visit here. And that is a statement made while on business travel and on an expense report. Next stop, Graeter's Ice Cream, another stop recommended by my local business...
