Sandwiches are great but employees here are rude. I work in food service, do understand the challenges. Most restaurants struggle to find employees these days...not the problem here...there must have been at least 12 employees there today.
I had called in order and arrived soon after, expecting to wait. An employee asked if I had called in or needed to place an.order. I told her call in, gave her my name, and said it's probably not ready yet. She looked at a couple of bags, looked destraught like she couldn't find it. I repeated, it may not be done yet. Then another employee said she was wrapping it up. The first employee grabbed my bag, and set it on the counter in front of me, saying they'll ring you up.
I then watched two employees conversing with a Door Dash delivery guy as I waited...just chit chat conversation.
Another employee then said "Can I help you?" I said I was told somebody would ring me up, so I don't know.
Then the blonde older lady, who was chit chatting with Door Dash dude then says in a snippy way "Maybe he's ringing somebody else up." Then, under her breath, said "I'm getting tired of customers like that." Then other dude...the tallest dude there with mustache, says "It's going to be a good day.", which I wasn't sure if it was directed at me or her.
Then the guy that rings you up, the Black older gentleman, tells me my total, I hand him a $20 over the counter and he barely stretches out his arm, like I have to reach even further, and he pulled the same crocodile arm move in handing me back my change.
The funny thing is, the ring up guy wasn't ringing up anybody else, like the woman said, because there was only me, Door dash guy, and two other customers that were there together, who weren't getting rung up...because I was there, watching.
They have the sandwiches, they have plenty of employees, now all they need is a better system, and better attitudes.
Also, none of them wear masks in a small space, close...
Read moreBeen going to this place occasionally for many years. Sandwiches have usually been good but service has always been lacking with an atmosphere of rudeness and unhappy employees. Thought with the CoVirus upon us we would take some business there anyway. Placed order online. Upon arrival I was the second person to enter the store at that time and stood on a blue floor marker as instructed by their signs. Nobody addressed me although there appeared to be an excess amount of employees for the level of business. A third customer entered the store and walked in front of me to pickup some cookies to go with his order. As he moved to his blue floor marker an employee asked if they could help him and proceeded to process his order and complete payment. He left the store and I was now the only customer standing on a blue marker, but I must have been invisible as nobody addressed me. After standing a bit I finally step forward and announce I am there to pickup an online order as well. A gentleman who appeared to be the manager identified my order and indicated it was being prepared on the grill. He then approached an apparent new employee operating the grill and told him he was making the sandwich wrong. They rearranged some of the ingredients to correct the situation, but the results were disappointing as I would later discover. Needed a magnifying glass to find the meat when I got it home. While waiting for the sandwich to be fixed I scanned the employees working at the counter. All were wearing masks, but one had the mask positioned clearly below the nose where it wasn’t protecting anyone. Another look revealed the manager’s mask wasn’t much better. I was handed my sandwich by the manager without any kind of thank you or apology for problems with the preparation. Doubt that I will be going back for a...
Read moreFanatically delicious is absolutely on point. Whilst in Delaware, I made a mission to try what I heard several times was the “Greatest Sandwich in America.” Even though it was 20 minutes from my stay, I’m so glad I made the trek to Capricotti’s because this sandwich SLAPS.
The Bobbie is a Thanksgiving sandwich. I found the cranberry sauce to be significantly less sweet compared to other similar creations. This was perfect as it didn’t overtake the other flavors. The turkey was delicious. It didn’t have that weird, off taste that deli turkey sometimes has (IYKYK). The stuffing was wonderfully seasoned and delivered so much flavor. All these wonderful components combined deliver what I only can describe as heaven to my tastebuds. I ordered a medium (10 inches) and ate the entire thing in one sitting. The only thing that saddens me is I live 3000 miles away, so the likelihood of me experiencing this again is slim. I also hope I have the opportunity to try their other sandwiches because if this one was so amazing, I bet the others are equally as great. If you’re a tourist, I cannot stress this enough: GO HERE. And get this sandwich. And others while...
