Made a reservation for our 11th anniversary, once we got there they told us all they had was outdoor seating. It’s covered, which is fine, but they brought us a table from out in the rain and didn’t even bother to dry it off, no worries, we got it. Then the mosquitoes joined us, and not just a few, they called all their friends and relatives, not the restaurant’s fault, I get it, but their ceiling fan didn’t work and the bugs enjoyed us as their main course. I asked to move inside, but we were told the inside was full for other reservations, mind you, they never filled those tables inside during hour and a half we were there. If you’re a dog person, this place is for you, I love dogs, but I don’t necessarily love hearing them bark at each other for a full 90 minutes, again…not the restaurant’s fault, just another fun aspect to dinner. Then the food arrived; my daughter got the kids salmon, when it got put down one table there was a bug crawling on the plate. My other daughter got regular old butter noodles, for some reason they tasted more like salmon than the salmon. My wife and I got a steak, if you like the taste of charcoal, this is your place. Not sure they season it with anything other than the taste of burnt charcoal. The mashed potatoes could’ve been used to repair the stucco on the exterior of the building, but they may have needed a little more moisture prior to application. My favorite part: my chair fell apart during dinner, all good we put it back together by putting the screws back in with our hands, did the staff help; no. Did they watch as we fixed it; yes. The house salad is similar to biting into an unripe lime, just slightly more bitter. Don’t worry about the tip, it’s included in the tab! The servers were polite and our guy was a nice young man, but this is in my bottom 3 restaurants in...
Read moreVery disappointing. We were excited to finally have an Argentine restaurant nearby so we drove down from northern Palm Beach County.
We ordered the asado, the provoleta, a bottle of wine and deserts. The price was fair considering this.
We ate half of our provoleta before the wine came. We had to ask 2 times for our wine After ordering it.
The asado was basically inedible. Everything was cold, though we asked for medium well, everything was undercooked. The meat was all hard. We simply harder a little of each thing then ate the chicken which is usually what we don’t even eat because we cake for Argentine asado. If I wanted chicken I could have gone to Pollo Tropical!
The provoleta was runny cheese vs our traditional with a little body.
The side dishes were ok and the desert was actually quite nice.
Maybe the pasta is good? You’re better off calling your Argentine friend and asking when’s the next time he’s making asado!
I’m from Argentina. I’m pretty sure I was the only Argentine in that entire Argentine restaurant (nobody spoke Spanish or knew much about the food they were serving or cooking apparently) . I’ve been to Novecento in Miami several times and always had good food. I even hosted a company party there once. I would assume they leased out the name to these people because it was NOTHING like the experience you get at the Miami location.
I would have loved to have a Novecento nearby to come eat and to recommend to all the people that constantly ask me if there is a good Argentine restaurant nearby… “No, there is not. You’re have to drive to Miami...
Read moreMy wife and family visited this restaurant the other night, and let me tell you—it was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! From the stunning atmosphere to the impeccable service, everything was top-notch.
We were greeted immediately, and shortly after being seated, our waiter, Kennon, was by our side, enthusiastically walking us through the menu and highlighting the best dishes. For appetizers, he recommended the homemade empanadas, which were absolutely delicious, as well as the Burrata, which did not disappoint!
For our entrée, Kennon suggested the shareable Parrillada, which came with an incredible selection of meats and four sides of our choice. Let me tell you, the meat was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, flavorful, and just amazing! As our entrée arrived, the manager on duty stopped by to check in, ensuring that everything was going well. His kindness and attentiveness only added to the exceptional service.
One thing I truly loved about this place was the teamwork among the staff. Every server helped one another, ensuring that plates were cleared promptly and our glasses were never empty.
To top it all off, Kennon suggested we try their shareable Panqueques Novecento along with their Tiramisu, and both were absolutely to die for!
Overall, this was an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for a restaurant with a romantic, dimly lit ambiance, great music, and an authentic Argentine-Italian-inspired menu, this is the...
