TLDR: Severe food allergies beware! They do not sufficiently train their employees on food allergens and what their drinks contain. If you don’t have allergies, this place is fine.
I really wanted love this place. But…The place did live up to its name, where I did actually almost die trying it for the first time. When I ordered my drink, I informed the employee at the counter that I am severely allergic to cow dairy. When I asked her if there are dairy free options, she said that they have oat milk and non-dairy creamer. I requested oat milk because non-dairy creamer actually DOES have dairy components (sodium caseinate). The employee said she didn’t know if non-dairy creamer has dairy as an allergen and didn’t double check the label on the product (even when I mentioned that I will go into anaphylaxis from dairy).
She made a sample of my drink for me to try the sweetness level, which was a kind gesture. What went terribly wrong was that the sample she made used non-dairy creamer. After trying the sample, I asked again to confirm that she made it with oat milk. She forgot about my allergy and made it with the creamer.
Needless to say, I had to run immediately to the bath to purge (TMI but relevant), and took a Benadryl to try and avoid the epi pen. Didn’t die (yay), but I now have hives all over my body that will last for weeks.
If I didn’t reconfirm over and over what my drink was made of, I would have gone into anaphylactic shock within minutes of drinking. Sure did say she was sorry and corrected my order, but c’mon…Just know what your drinks are made of and take food allergies seriously!
So while I’m sure this place is very tasty, I...

Found my way here from a CherryArts festival and they had a menu that was meant to go on only for the duration of the festival, but upon the kind lady cashier’s simple curiosity and the revelation of my origin - of great pride. They made an exception and got me some Teh Tarik, a classic recommendation after I perused for a signature, local flavour.
The Teh Tarik was expected, which is good. It doesn’t come with any ice so that’s great value… though boba with my cold Teh Tarik.. ruins the authenticity but gives me something to chew on?
I think it’s a lot busier now because of the festival, but the vibe felt calm despite the throng of people that just came in. It wasn’t cold in here. There are enough to seat 16, so expect to get lucky like me, or have it to go. There are some couple tables, a table for 4 and 6, and some tall counter seats. Outdoor seating is more plentiful, and certainly an option if it was cloudy and you weren’t cooking in the summer sun.
They’ve got a decent variety of board games too. Good place to hang out and socialise.
Would definitely come back here if I’m in the area to try other “Singapore specials”, yeah right, pandan, teh tarik and kopi are all Malaysian! Anyways. Enjoyed this place. Serious Techmo seal...
Read moreI've been living in Asia for the past decade and am a boba lover, so when I came home to Denver for a visit, Die Die was on the top of my list of places I wanted to check out. After so much hype, I was unfortunately left quite disappointed by my experience. While the server was super friendly and the vibe was cute, the black tea and boba drink itself was extremely average. The bland boba were also too big to fit through the straw, which is something I've never experienced. I was sad to throw my drink away after drinking only half because it just didn't taste like much. Usually when a boba menu is this limited, it means the quality and flavor are extra amazing, but unfortunately that just wasn't...
