Gold Point — Restaurant in Denver

Look, I have been a bartender and on steady nights, it can be painful and seem long… but never in my life would I have spoken to potential customers as this bartender did to my friend and I tonight. We had been waiting for a drink for about 10 minutes at one of the bar, no one acknowledged us, so we moved to the center (by the bartenders’ work stations) - no big deal. We sat for about another 10 minutes and no one had acknowledged us, still - and we were sitting right in front of them! A man came up next to us and the bartender asked him his order. My friend spoke up and said “hey, we were here first” (our tone may have not been the friendliest, but we were thirsty, do you blame us?!). The bartender turned my friend and responded, completely straight faced, “you know, I don’t have to serve you anything… do you want to complain a bit more?” My jaw dropped to the floor and my eyes widened. I just looked at him in disbelief. We hadn’t said a word to anyone or even had a slight obnoxious attitude, expressing our frustration for the wait outloud. We just wanted service! My friend retiterated that we simply wanted to order, and we were next. He continued to repeat that he didn’t need to serve us. I was so embarrassed for him, I had to say “please stop, don’t do this right now to us”. I was so dumbfounded and disrespected, I couldn’t even stay seated there for another second. LONG STORY SHORT, tonight is the first and last time I will be visiting that bar. This may sound a bit dramatic, but I promise you.. it was. Bar Rescue would have a hay day...

So I’m not a reviewer, this is in fact the first review I’ve ever left for a bar.

Alas so horrified by both experiences I’ve had at this establishment, it has drawn me out from under my rock.

After my first ridiculous experience i figured that perhaps it was a one off, leave it alone and perhaps if it ever happened that i venture inside again, i would give Bar Fausto the benefit of the doubt.

The service, rudeness and general apathy of the staff was so horrible, that had i not been with the group i was with I’d have challenged it at the time, had i not had the previous experience, i would not be writing this review.

Needless to say, despite what others wax about this place, i would never ever recommend anybody attend. Such is the outrage at my experiences, i will vocally speak out about...

The bartender was great and the vibe in general was good !! I had a hiccup with the server who wasn't understandimg at all. When we went, we didn't realize that my ID expired a day ago, it was a no-go for them which I understood. I told her, my friends will stay here and I'll be back in 20ish minute with the other id. My Uber had a 20min wait, I asked if I can just sit in the outdoor seating area for the wait time, which was right in front and next to the door, unfortunately I was told that I can't even sit !
