Worst bar experience I have had in Denver. Was really grimey inside and the clientele were pretty washed up. I arrived with my dog to catch some of the USC (SoCal, the real SC) game.
At the front door I was asked if my dog was a service animal. I said yes she is. I was then asked to present my papers. I informed them that I do have papers for her but that I in no way am required to present them. He started to argue with me and then said I needed a VEST in order to take my service animal places. Wrong. In what way does that make any logical/legal sense?
Then some random dude with a “need tickets” sign talking to the bouncer starts arguing with me and telling me that I need a vest. I informed him that under the Americans with Disabilities Act, there is no way I need to do either.
Eventually I saw what must of been a manager come out and the bouncer started talking to him quietly. Instead of solving the problem he just decided to ignore it.
Needless to say I left and found a bar nearby that actually treats customers without discrimination. I’ve filed with the Department of Justice for a violation of civil rights. Wish I...
Read moreSo I was there last week and I ordered a few drinks for my daughter, my ex, my fiance and I, we were not drunk at all so I remember the total on each transaction and I remember the total with tip included (I paid with a credit card) and when I got my notifications on my phone the next day I noticed that between the 2 transactions I was over charge so I ended up paying a total of an extra $8 dollars and is only $8 dollars BUT they should not be doing this. I intend to go back and ask why because this is so wrong, bartenders obviuosly take advantage of customers who paid with a credit card just because they think "we are too drunk" to remember well guess what...I was not even drunk and I remember exactly the total amount that I sign for on those 2 receipts!! So my advise to people is please make sure you keep your receipts (like I do) and make sure this isn't happening to you. Is a shame that type of conduct goes on, taking advantage of people who just go there to have a few drinks and have fun and instead they are being ripped off. SHAME ON...
Read moreIf you’re here for a Bears game, don’t bother. I recently moved to Denver, and I’m a die hard Bears fan. My family has had season tickets since 1946. However, you only get treated well at Hayters if you’ve been coming to the bar for 3+ years. Tonight, I was assaulted by a man at the bar during a Bears game, but I was thrown out because he’s a “regular.” This is the experience I’ve witnessed with other people as well since moving to Denver and coming to Hayters. You can’t even get a seat unless you’ve been part of their cult for years - they have every single table and bar stool reserved an hour before the game begins, with signs on each seat for the regulars. I understand “rewarding” people who consistently bring you business, but new people are treated like trash. I will not...
