We were passing through Denver and got snowed in for the night and much to our delight discovered the wonderful Istanbul Cafe the next morning! We skipped right over the hotel breakfast and walked straight there. The owner who was at this location that morning, was so very friendly, giving us a tour of the different selections, explained how things were made, and offered samples to try! The Borek we selected was absolutely delicious, flaky and savory. We also ordered one of the breakfast platter options offered. It was refreshing and satiating with fresh cheeses, bread, olives, and tomato/cucumbers. All of it was deliciously mix and matchable and enjoyable together in one bite. The Turkish coffee and tea, were excellent with the perfect taste just how it comes, or you can ask for it how you want it! And the Baklava was exceptional as well. Don't pass it up! In addition to the food, the owner and staff were also exceptional. The owner made sure to take time with each person who came in the cafe and and even stepped outside with us for a moment as we departed. So very nice! The environment was bright, comfortable, and extremely clean. We will definitely be back next time we come through Denver! Thank you for a truly...

I go to this place almost every 2 weeks it is in my neighborhood!! Sucuklu toast is my favorite and I always ordered the same thing :) Here is my feedback, When I ordered toast first time there was a turkish lady who made it It was so greasy I felt sick after eating the toast unfortunately…. When I went there second time I ordered from gentlemen(middle age- don’t remember his name )and mentioned less greasy thankfully he made it really yummy! He is very nice trying to help and apologize if the order is little late. And As a Turkish national I want to support their business however I feel like turkish lady who is working there is little bit rude when she is there I don't feel welcomed and when I was sitting there I over heard she was rude to other...

Was delighted with my visit to Istanbul Cafe&Bakery! My first time at this location (one by DU and the other on Leetsdale?) The highlight of my experience was the service provided by a fellow named Yass. Who, from the moment I walked in, greeted me with a warm smile and a genuine enthusiasm. His knowledge for the bakery's authentic selection( almost every thing is from Turkië) was very large. He explained the various baklavas and offered samples of some of his favorites, making my decision much easier. His energy was what truly enhanced my visit. It's rare to encounter such exceptional customer service (especially after covid) , Highly recommend the Turkish Coffee and the Simit Bagel! A great experience, especially if you get the chance to be...

What an incredible addition to this neighborhood! It’s just refreshing to finally have some authentic, cultural culinary options in Denver. The staff and owner were so helpful and kind. They offered samples of everything even though we knew the food looked so good and delicious. We ordered the spinach & feta and potato borek and took home walnut and pistachio baklava. The boreks were warmed to order, they were flaky, savory and such a good snack. The baklava were excellent, not too sweet and just paired well with coffee and tea. Soner, the owner, came to say hello and thanked us for visiting his cafe. He told us about how he imports flours, nuts, clarified butter and other ingredients from Turkey. We had a lovely time in this cafe - we will return soon.
