I’ve always enjoyed the pizza. The customer service, NAH. Better awareness about how your employees communicate with customers can go a mighty long way.
I decided to visit tonight after a long hiatus. I called at about 7 to place an order, was told that it would be ready in about 20-25 minutes. I showed up around 7:30. The employees hadn’t started my order. They actually seemed to have no idea that I even placed an order, despite the fact I spoke to someone. I was the only customer there. Thankfully, one of the employees jumped on it and began to prepare my order. Before he started, though, I heard him tell the front employee “just give it to him for free.” Cool. Anyway, the front employee then tells me the other employee is going to get started on my order—without even acknowledging the fact that the order should have ALREADY been prepared or apologizing for the inconvenience. When I asked what happened, the front employee then blamed the issue on the fact that the phone is in the back, and he is not…again, no apology. When I showed up about 12 minutes later to pick up my already late order, the employee who made the pizza—and whom I heard tell the front employee that the pizza would be free—then tried to charge me the full price. I asked for a discount, though, and he cut the price in half. I honestly don’t even care that they forgot my order. Stuff happens. My biggest gripe is with the lack of acknowledgment (whether this time or the several times I’ve had issues with forgotten orders in the past or inconsistent...
Read moreI would've given 5 stars, but since they have completely disregarded answering their phones for orders, I wont be considering this spot any longer. This is the third time Ive tried to call to place an order in the last few months to get a recording saying the 'mailbox is full' or 'the number is disconnected' and its the number they list on google as well as their website. I shouldnt have to drive 25 minutes to place an order outside at a window and then WAIT, because there is no physical way to order ahead. I don't know how this is beneficial to the business seeing as to how there is a plethera of other pizza options offering order ahead by phone or online, and knowing that, I still chose this spot bc I loved what is offered here. But not anymore, def not worth going out of my way simply because they don't want to answer the telephone. Not to mention they slack on opening according to their advertised hours (which I experienced on another occassion, to be told by the slow-moving staff member that they had 'new' hours, yet the hours are still advertised the same since that day with no public notice of a change in hours... really just seemed that was the staff member's excuse that day). Sad to see a serious lack in effort on the business's part, especially during these times. If you really don't have a desire serve your customers, why even be open for...
Read moreWent to Marquis Pizza for first time. Tried another time but they were closed. They don’t put on website when they are going to be closed. This time the theater was closed but I was only there for the pizza. It is no joke the staff never answer the phone, you have to go in person and hope they are open. I think when the theater is closed, it’s a little easier to find parking but know in advance you may need to drive around block 2x before you find a spot. The front door to pizza place is like a double Dutch door. No matter how cold it is outside (when no show playing at theater) you have to ring a doorbell & then a staff member will open top half of door and take your order while you stand on sidewalk. You will not be allowed to enter. They will tell you when to return. You can sit in your car or stand on sidewalk. Not the safest looking neighborhood. If your pizza is done sooner, they don’t notify you. I got the High on Fire and it was excruciating hot to the point of unpleasant and uneatable. The staff did the bare minimum customer service. The whole experience did not “wow me”. I heard when there is a show going on, you get to enter restaurant if you have a ticket. The restaurant basically caters to the theater customers & inbetween or when no shows, it becomes a pop up pizza restaurant without...
