Last night while hanging out with friends here to celebrate my birthday, I had to go to the restroom. After waiting in line for 5 minutes I went into the first stall which of course had no locking mechanism on it. Due to no lock, I had a person or two open up the stall door over the course of the minute I was in there. Unfortunately due to a medical procedure that I had when I was 17, which removed the lining of my bladder, I cannot use urinals anymore. So the stall is my only option to use. With no lock, it was impossible to stop people from opening the door regardless of me informing them I was in there. While I was using the bathroom some random guy came into my stall for 30 seconds and I had already told the guy that I was using the restroom, if he could please leave the stall. During that 30 second interval, management dragged me out of the bathroom before I could even button up my pants. They then proceeded to accuse me of either soliciting sex or participating in part of a drug deal. When I tried to explain my side of the story, the manager made up a false claim that I was in the restroom for more than 5 minutes even though I had 2 witnesses tell them I was only in there for a minute. With my coat still in the bar, I had to have a friend grab it for me because it was freezing outside. I have never been more humiliated in my life and I never try to complain but this was unacceptable behavior as well as discrination at its finest. Working at a hotel, I will definitely inform guests to stay away from here unless they want to be falsely accused of crimes. If management wants to reach out to talk again, I will be happy to discuss things further again but will never enter this...
Read moreI had the unfortunate event of racial profiling at this establishment. Me and a friend (I am black and she is Mexican for context) had just arrived at this bar, ordered a drink, and went to the bathroom. We had just been talking to our bartender Elliot before we went to the bathroom. Upon coming out, we were told we need to leave ASAP. When I asked what did we do, I was met with the response, “I don’t owe you an explanation”. My freshly poured drink (that I hadn’t even drunk yet) was snatched out of my hands and thrown in the trash. When further demanding an explanation, I was then told “I’m being nice right now but I’m about to pick you up and throw you out”. Three to four MALE security guards approached us and started to physically remove my friend and were way too overly aggressive. The only reason they were able to come up with was that she (my friend) had dropped her ID and bumped her head when reaching down to pick it up. Of course, there were other women in the bathroom throwing up, but we were getting kicked out for no apparent reason. They also threatened to call the cops on us for asking why we were being so aggressively approached and rude.
Upon telling my story and reading reviews, this is not the first time this bar has had racist encounters with customers. I’ve tried to contact this bar multiple times and each time the phone is picked up and hung up.

There was a time in my life that I might have enjoyed being surrounded by piss-drunk women. Or been fine being packed in like a sardine from front door to back door and bathroom to bar. Or totally ignored by bartenders taking care of their buddies instead. But no longer!
My favorite was when I was given the third-degree because I had lost my driver's license and had a passport instead. Bouncer didn't seem to want to accept my Federally-issued identification, and instead kept asking for my driver's license. Awesome! Took some convincing to be allowed to use my identification that works in every other place that needs to confirm who I am. PS- it's none of your damn business why I am using my passport instead of my license, and asking me multiple times is silly.
