Arrived solo around 6:00 pm on a comfortable Wednesday evening and sat outside in a corner near some flowers and a running mini waterfall. The place was lively with most tables full of families of around four and an overall nice vibe that didn't get much of the street noise. I was quite comfortable. The chips and salsa were good, with some nice spice for the salsa. I ordered the chicken fajitas with double rice, no beans and flour tortillas ($17) and got them within ten minutes. The tortillas were warm (2 large ones) and the chicken and rice were above average. Really enjoyable meal all around. The staff was very attentive and professional. Three different people checked in on me and I was referred to as sir on several occasions. I highly recommend this place for a lower key, lower priced meal compared to many of the options near by. Families, but also solo diners (there's a bar) and couples would do fine as well.

Patzcuaro's is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Denver Metro area. Anything with their famous Michoacan pork is phenomenal. The green salsa served with chips is also great. I just visited recently after a long drought of not going and it's everything I remember and love it for. Plus more - they have a great, quaint patio now with shade and water features. It's a really nice spot to sit in the spring, summer, and fall. There are fabric walls they can put down, as well, so it could even be good in the winter time if they have heaters to keep it warm (I'm not sure whether they do). If you're looking for authentic central Mexican food, look no further than Patzcuaro's.

So this was our first time to visit Pátzcuaro's, after it being recommended. We obviously had to try the carnitas plate. We shared and the portion size was perfect. The carnitas are absolutely not to be passed on. The flavor was perfect, the spice level was spot on and an all round great meal! We will return! BTW, awesome hot sauce! Update: so for our second visit we decided to share the Albañil taco plate. The plate arrived hot off of the grill. The steak was perfect, sliced thin and very tasty with the onions and jalapenos. The potatoes added a bit of texture and we're very flavorful. We will continue to return here, for sure!

RACIST AGAINST BLACK PEOPLE!! I took my son here, after church. We waited 10 minutes before someone came to even greet us. I kept turning around to look at the manager who was by the cash register, not doing anything. Finally, someone came to take our order. They were a little busy, so at first I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, I watched 3 sets of people sit down at the tables directly around us. Each time, they were greeted and brought chips immediately. The manager, barely uttered two words when he brought our food to the table. The other servers kept walking past our table, rudely asking if we needed boxes while we were obviously still eating. As if trying to hurry us out of their establishment. I ordered nachos and found a pebble, yes an actual ROCK in my food. I called the manager over and asked why we were being treated in this way. He apologized but mind you, this is the same person who stood there just looking at us after we sat down. The bottom line is we were the only Black people there and were not given the same service as the people seated around us. We were treated this way, from the moment we walked in the door. So, the only explanation is THEY DO NOT WANT BLACK PEOPLE IN THEIR RESTAURANT!! The only people I saw working in there were Hispanic, so I know they must know how it feels to be discriminated against. So, why turn around and be racist when they already know how it feels? Hey patzcuaro's, treat others how you would want to be treated and STOP BEING RACIST AGAINST...

Oh my God, this place. I love this place. It’s a real problem because I eat here way too much and I’ve gained weight. I’m fat now and I blame them (I’m not angry enough to stop visiting, to be completely clear — it’s an addiction).

The wait staff are all friendly and fully bilingual (perfect for bilingual families/couples!), the food and drinks are the best you will get in Denver, and the patio outside is romantic in the summer.

They are very understanding about any type of dietary restriction (I’m celiac) and the place is clean (I’ve never been glutened here). They’ll usually have whatever game is on — on.

Avoid the chips and salsa if you’re celiac because they’re handmade in small batches in shared oil but eat them if you’re Normal People™️ because I’m told they’re incredible. All of their salsas are great.

Eat the bistek mexicana because it’s unbelievable.

Ditto on the coffee if they have any available (it has cinnamon in it and it’s the best in town). Always order the flan (that’s a life rule but it especially applies here because the flan here is good).

If you want something alcoholic, go for the margarita that has the Mexican grapefruit soda in it and drink it outside on the little patio in the summertime.

*P.S. I almost forgot the best part! They offer fresh corn tortillas that they can heat up separately for you (so they don’t get all wheat-y). They are...

I use to love coming to this place. The chips and salsa were my favorite. Not sure if the cook has changed, but some of the food no longer taste the same. The staff were exceptional, the atmosphere was always on point. However, the last two times I have gone. We have been mistreated by one of the waiters. He is the tall light skinned blad man. He basically seemed bothered when attending to us. I was able to notice the difference in the service he would give us compared to another table. On another note, he almost ripped our head off for sitting at a table. He didn'realize that another waiter sat us down. I understand someone is having a bad day, so I give them a chance. But to provide this type of service twice after being a customer for over 40 years. It is completely disrespectful. That waiter needs to be put in check. All other waiters are awesome. I really enjoy still seeing the gentleman that was my waiter since I was a little girl.

I had to edit this review to reply to owner. We DID NOT sit ourselves down. We were told to sit by another waiter. He made hand gestures to us to go ahead and sit and choose anywhere. Not sure if your camera captured that. You should stand behind your employees, any good manager would do that. He just needs to work on his customer service skills better. Because like I said before, he has done this...
