Santiago's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Denver

First of all, love the breakfast burritos, it's the main reason to go here. I'm only writing this because last Saturday May 28th, I waited for 30 minutes, as well as other people, with no explanation on why it was taking so long. Then when I finally asked where our burritos were, the lady working said, "Oh, you must have missed when we called your number." Really?? When there were about 8 of us clearly just standing around and we missed our number? Then the manager (I'm guessing) came out, Manny was what the cashier called him, he did not apologize and just kept trying to figure out what was going on. He did not address us to tell us we were sorry or that there was some issue and he'll make it up to us. He just kept frantically running from the cash register back to the window where the burritos came out. This location has always had mediocre service, but this experience took the cake. UPDATE 10/20/18 not sure what happened but we went in for lunch on Saturday and they no longer serve vegetarian green chili (my hubby doesn't eat pork for religious reasons) they offered to strain the normal chili for him... got that figured out and our food was served, stuffed spills were extra brown and crispy. Then we were given a package of plastic silverware... we sat for a ridiculous amount of time before I finally got up and asked for a box and to pay the check... all 3 employees were taking plates to a 3 top and I guess there was no one else to help the rest of the customers... other than all of this I felt like my business wasn't wanted at this location and I've been coming to this Santiago's since it opened on 38th everything used to be amazing! I ate here regularly when I lived closer, now i drive from golden...... not sure...

Drive thru took about 35 minutes. During my time sitting in line 5 cars left. I received breakfast burritos that didn’t contain meat or green chili when I asked for half and half with cheese and green chili. Consistency has been off almost every time I go now. Used to be good! Also, just went back again today and I ordered 3 breakfast burritos only to be given two! Please slow down and get the orders right. The two burritos also did not contain any meat or green chili when I asked for it. Consistent unacceptable service. Also on my most recent visit to this place, the Hispanic workers took the orders of other Hispanic customers before anyone else who had been patiently waiting in line for over 30min, and served them first. This is preferential treatment and is extremely unprofessional and patronizing to other customers that patiently wait in line...
