Thai food is my absolute favorite so I make a point to go to every Thai place I can. Thai Basil was a major disappointment. I’ve eaten at hundreds of Thai restaurants and this wasn’t BAD, so given the choice between Thai Basil and not having Thai I’d get it again. I order extra Thai hot and I emphasize that I’m serious, I want it Phet mak mak (Thai for very very hot) Pad Thai: watery and the amount of heat was pathetic. I’d say heat was 3/10. I did really like all the onions they put in it though. Flavor wasn’t bad at all, but not very authentic tasting and they don’t make it hot. See photo I took AFTER draining the excess water out twice already. Chicken Satay: chicken itself was fine, mildly seasoned (but good). Peanut sauce was extremely sweet. Served with diced pineapples which I’ve never seen and I don’t think pairs well. Tom Kha: the flavor of the soup was very good! Some Thai restaurants use a bunch of chicken stock in their Tom kha to cut costs and it makes it boring at best and awful at worst. This Tom kha was very good! Unfortunately there was no heat even though I also ordered it Thai hot. It’s incredibly frustrating being a Thai food fanatic and constantly emphasizing pet mak mak and/or reassuring it can never be too hot I have never sent food back, but still having restaurants unable to make spicy food. US Thai and Thai Pot Cafe are still my only reliable spots for good hot Thai in Denver.

This used to be our go to Thai place to order from because they clearly mark Gluten Free items on their menu and used to specifically write gluten free on the packaging. I have celiac and felt like they actually took time and effort to acknowledge the gluten allergy I made note of in our order, and I felt reasonably safe eating their food. Last time we ordered, my supposedly GF meal that is supposed to have white sauce came with a brown sauce instead. I didn’t eat it and cut my losses for the cost of dinner. Tonight we tried again, as always I make note in the order to please keep it gluten free. When it arrived I opened it up and right on top is a noodle. I called to ask for a refund or remake and the lady who answered asked me for the phone number we ordered with. I gave it to her, assuming she was going to look up our order to see what we got, but instead she told me a manager would call me back and then hung up. I’m so frustrated that the issue wasn’t fixed for me on the spot, and that dishes specifically labeled gluten free on their menu are arriving with noodles in them, even after I made it clear I had an allergy and needed special care taken with my food.

I’ve eaten here many times and the staff is amazing. The food isn’t bad it’s just that I like things really spicy and every time that I ask for Thai hot it comes out mild at best. The first time that I had their Singapore noodles they were so full of curry flavor and spiciness. Every time since then they have been so bland, even after I request extra curry and Thai hot. I’m not sure what happened but hopefully it’ll shift back to the way it was when I first went there. The pho is amazing! The large isn’t much more than the medium so I always get it. I think it’s $13. It’s a challenge to finish the whole thing but it’s so good that I always manage to do it. And usually regret it afterwards as I’m uncomfortably full but it’s a small price to pay for such a good, affordable meal. Update 8/1/2024-The Singapore noodle are delicious once again!! New cook maybe? Not sure but they once again are full of curry flavor and extra spicy like I like it.

Worst odering experience in my life. HEED MY WARNING! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Listen i dont care how desperate or how hungry you are. You are better walking a mile in a river in the middle of a blizzard to a gas station that serves nothing but water crackers. Lol. Im laughing but theres abosolutely nothing funny about this nightmare of a business. It makes me believe anyone and i mean ANYONE can open up a business. Something is off with this place.

Read it.. Its a headache. But if my headache can eliviate a headache for you... Better me than you right? :/

So I wanted chinese food. Looked up chinese food delivery near by. Completely disregarded the bad reviews of this place and called to order. Took forever and kept putting me on hold for long periods then quoted us way above what we had seen from the menu. My friend only ordered like four things mind you... -_- So sheb my friend tells me how much they charged us i call back and just say i will cancel the order and they say fine.

Guy hung up but didnt ask me anything so i thought they didnt charge my account yet but i chheck my account and sure enough $32+ charged and nothing showing it was being reversed. I call back to double check. Guy plays on the phone putting me on hold and then forgetting or messing with me and all the meanwhile im just laughing because its unbelievable. Finally i just let it be and give benefit of the doubt that this will be resolved in a few days and this will be credited back to my account.

Its been a little more than a few days. I just got off the phone of having a so called manager scream at the top of his lungs on the phone with me because he swears they have no charge for my phone number or the address used to deliver food to. So I am just going to have to get this taken care of through my bank but you have been warned.

Worst. Experience. Of my life. Ok not of my entire life but food...

AMAZING!!! I've been to this place a few times and always come back with an appetite for more and more! They never disappoint! Delicious flavored Satay Chicken with peanut sauce, delicous creamy broth Tom Kha coconut milk soup, and delicious colorful authentic tasting curries!!!! You can't really go wrong here. The spices always hit a home run and every dish is crafted to taste authentic and leave you wanting just one more bite! This restaurant ranks among my favorite Thai in the Denver Metro area!!! If you love curry with a passion like I do, the only downside you'll find is that you may not live close enough to eat here every day!! I wish they had a location closer to my home in Centennial. That being said, I am almost always willing to make the drive out here especially to also stop at the Milkroll Creamery on Colfax right down the street for dessert (try the coconut milk vegan option with Pandan flavoring for a Thai tasting dessert ;) they could practically go hand in hand). Back to Thai Basil, I always order some perfectly heated Jasmine tea with my meal and with the generous portions I almost always end up with some for lunch (or more often a midnight snack). The restaurant is quiet, and has a great 'Thai' feel to it and I absolutely love the plant life near all the windows as it feels relaxing and revitalizing. The service is always great and the food comes out very quickly never with any issues. It is very moderately priced as well! I highly recommend this restaurant and you should definitely...
