I went because I was referred to this place. Wasn't the best experience for my first time and for the money spent. I ordered what I thought was a 2 meat dinner, but was informed after I had paid that I was getting the 2 meat PLATE because you can't mix the meats with the dinner. So... "2 meat plate" ( ribs and links; sides were potato salad and Cajun rice), a large banana pudding and a small peach cobbler... $25 ($24 and some change, that put me closer to $25). Got home and opened my plate... I had what appeared to be about a tablespoon full of rice and the same for the potato salad, some sliced sausage, because I don't believe they were links, and 3 ribs. Rice was bland, along with the banana pudding AND the peach cobbler, and the potato salad was a bit runny... It had slid down under my meat, which is why I initially thought it was a good amount, until I lifted the meat and slid the potato salad back into the partition on the plate. That's when I realized that there was barely anything to eat, smh. The only thing that was decent for me was the ribs, but they were smaller than I expected, and one had a lot of fat on it. Bananas in the pudding were already browning, and the peach cobbler had very little flavor. If the food had've been right, then I wouldn't have minded what I paid. But to order something, barely get any food, and 90% of the food wasn't good...it's hard to give a good review. Service was decent though... 🤷🏾♀️, but this was a first and a last for me. Not saying that this is how it is always, because it was my first time, and I was referred here, which means they typically have good food. I just wish I had a better experience. Read moreVery disappointed. I have been a loyal customer for years but the last 7 times I have been there it has been HORRIBLE. Don’t get me wrong the food is still good but it is way overpriced and they give you such smaller portions. But the worst thing of all is that it there are always things unavailable on the menu which isn’t much to choose from. You walk in and there is NO greeting for at least five minutes. Once you wait a LONG time for your food the bag is super greasy. Another customer REFUSED to take the bag and asked for a new one. I always order a baked potato with sour cream on the side because I have a child who cannot eat it but somehow they put it on every time and I have to wait even longer for another one. UNFORTUNATELY They did the same thing again today but told me the first potato was the last one so me and my two small children waited for 20 to 30 minutes to not get any food. Not to mention that they are always out of baked potatoes and when I once called ahead before mine was given away. When Miss Johnny Was there every day things were fine but now there is no organization. I realized most of the customers are leaving frustrated. They have officially lost me as a customer.
This review is not to bash Evans but bring awareness to them many customers have complained. The five customers that were in there with me the last time all had complaints. It is time that the business start being ran better or they will run...

I Decided To Drive By And The Whole Place Is Closed. But I Checked Previously Online Before I Ordered If They Were Open. So Needless To Say No Evans Pit For Me That Day.
I Waited Until Today Tuesday To Contact Them When They Were Open. The Young Lady That Answered The Phone Was Super Professional And Explained To Me That She Would Pass The Information To Her Manager Once She Arrives Between 1 And 2 PM. I Was Promptly Called Back Before 1PM And Spoke With Mrs. Evans
She Was Super Understanding Of The Situation Apologized Many Times. She Even Said Let Me Still Make Your Food On The House Because I Really Want You To Try Our Food. 😱
Evans Pit On This Particular Situation Amazed Me. Their Attention To Detail, Understanding, Follow Up, And Customer Service Have Really Won Me Over. Thank You So Much And Now Into The Future You Will Receive My Family's BBQ Orders.
