Dunkin' — Restaurant in Destin

I am appalled at the level of disrespect and lack of service I received here. Normally, it takes me about 3 minutes to go through drive thru and get my order at this location, but last Thursday after waiting in line at the drive thru for 5 minutes without being helped I went inside and while I was waiting in line another girl walked in and came up to the counter I was standing at, looked at me and said “sorry” then proceeded to have her order taken by the employee behind the counter ahead of me even though I was clearly there before. It became apparent to me that these two knew each other and as he finished getting her order and giving it to her FOR FREE, the employee walked out from behind the counter and went to the door to leave, all while never even acknowledging that I, a paying customer, was waiting in line for 10 minutes. At this point I asked the rude employee who had ignored me if someone was going to take my order and he told me that another employee who had been standing in front of the drive thru window the whole time not doing anything would help me as he proceeded to walk out with the girl who got in front of me in line and they loudly laughed at me. The other female employee at the drive thru told another male employee from the back to take my order, he did and then stood behind the coffee machines not making my order and trying to hide the fact that he wasn’t doing anything. Finally after 15 minutes of standing around the female employee came up, took my order AGAIN and proceeded to spend all of 30 seconds preparing my order and ringing me out. I don’t understand how something that should’ve taken me less than a minute to do became a horrible 20 minute experience where I was rudely ignored and laughed at by an employee. I used to appreciate the quick experience of getting coffee here, but after this incident I will never go back and put up with the horrible service I received. I don’t know what is going on with this place where tons of other customers have had bad experiences and yet clearly nothing...

I’ve been coming to this spot for the last few years, and I’ve always had decent service, but today was a bit of a letdown. It all started when I was ordering at the drive-thru. The cashier kept asking me to pull forward before I could even finish my order or go over the specifics. I paid for my order, and then she asked me to pull up again. I ended up waiting longer than usual, and when a girl came out with part of my order, I realized I was missing my coffee. I waited outside for a bit longer, only to realize I had been given the wrong item altogether. I ordered a chicken croissant, but I got a stuffed croissant instead.

I decided to go inside to get some help. When I tried explaining the situation, instead of fixing it, they started telling me what I had ordered, but I know what I ordered because I was the one who made the order. Then, another girl came over, asked if anyone was waiting for drive-thru orders inside, and when I told her what I was supposed to get, she handed me another stuffed croissant and said that’s what I ordered. At this point, it had been 25 minutes just for a cold brew coffee (which was supposed to be with oat milk) and a chicken croissant. I ended up leaving with whatever they decided to give me. Not the best Dunkin. I believe they are overcharging people and taking advantage of people on vacation. Lg hot coffee is $2.89 on the menu, but she rang me up at $3.79. I know there is no dollar tax on less than $3. My husband paid almost a dollar less this morning for the same coffee. Plus the place was very messy. Food all over the floor and tables hadn't been wiped in awhile. Sink in ladies room is clogged, so it almost overflows when you wash your hands. The worst is the staff though. They act like it bothers them to take an order. Feels uncomfortable and unpleasant. The Dunkin farther down towards PC beach is only open till 3 and management and customer service is very poor there as well. All food here is overpriced and the epitome of mini. Order a sandwich and you would need 4 of their sandwiches to make 1 whole regular size sandwich. The taco is laughable in size. Too small for even a toddlers breakfast! Maybe try the Starbucks in this area instead. Better stronger coffee for the same price and way better service! **They closed 8 mins early and had customers still coming to order.
