Oh my goodness. This place came at just at the right time. My husband and I were traveling for work and pleasure and were at that stage in the day where “if I don’t get anything to eat right now, it’s not going to be good”, lol. So I went walking to explore the area and found this WONDER! Oh my goodness, this is the best Mexican food I’ve eaten since the last time I was in Mexico!! It was so refreshing and an amazing reminder of how rich the Mexican culture is! The owner was so friendly happy and FUNNY! He MADE sure you enjoyed your food. The restaurant area inside and out (because they have an indoor eating option) was clean, welcoming and inviting. The other staff were kind and courteous! Even if you don’t speak Spanish you’ll be able to get what you want and need and be served well! I tried to get my husband to speak Spanish while ordering, he butchered the pronunciations so horribly-the chef REQUESTED and pleaded with him to stick to English! 🤣 Hilarious. This is a hidden gem of true authentic Mexican food in Destin with a Topatio (Guadalajara Jalisco) touch. Hard to find anything as Mexican-authetnic as this arround. We had Tortas de Asada and the flavor was spot on , and the portions OMG are very very generous. We also had tacos al pastor.. Delicious 👌 and big as well. The establiahment is a food truck with a cozy confortable climatized area next to it with several tables and a salsa/toppings statuon. Salsas are also totally authentic mexican flavor and delicious. The aguas frescas were 100% natural, big and very refreshing. We stopped there for a very late mid afternoon lunch and they were ready and everything was made fresh and fast. My wife, doughters and myself absolutely loved this place. The hosts are super friendly, helpful and speak excellent English and Spanish, and we will definitely come back when we are in town again.
