First off, cutie found this place while doing research on where to park for our Jelly Roll concert. Boy, am I glad she did! Everything about this place was perfect and extraordinary. I’ve got to start by giving a shoutout to our waitress, Tae. She was unbelievably helpful and kind, providing excellent service and recommendations for downtown. We couldn’t be happier with her—such a great person!
Harry’s provides parking for venues downtown and even offers shuttles to and from Ford Field and Comerica Park. However, we just walked to Little Caesars Arena since it was only a stone’s throw away. Couldn’t be happier not having to pay $55 for parking. Thanks, Mr. Harry and staff!
Now, the food—wow. I ordered the mushroom and goat cheese burger, and it’s officially in my holy trinity of burgers now. That’s right, people, it’s in my top three. Just ask cutie—I didn’t shut up about this burger until, well, I’m still talking about it! The fries that came with it were perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside with a soft, fluffy inside, just the way we both love them. Of course, I had to have ranch for dipping, and let me tell you, it was above average—did its job perfectly!
The burger itself was simply amazing. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection, loaded with forest nuggets—or as most people call them, mushrooms. The goat cheese was spectacularly creamy and paired beautifully with the mushrooms and the burger. We also got our signature drink: pineapple juice, Malibu, and a splash of grenadine. They absolutely nailed it. We each had a couple of those.
The decor inside is modern and stylish, with at least 15 big-screen TVs just in the downstairs area alone. Cutie also loved her classic burger, which was done just the way she likes it.
A big thank you to Tae and the entire staff at Harry’s for making our experience in Detroit even better than we hoped. We even came back a little later while waiting for the concert to start, sat upstairs, and each had three more drinks—each one perfectly mixed and made for us. A special thanks to the kind folks who run the bar upstairs. It was a blast sitting and enjoying each other’s company while the place was hopping with people!
We definitely plan to return every time we have a date in the downtown area. Harry’s is hands down the go-to spot for parking, great food, and exceptional hospitality. We can’t thank you enough for your awesomeness. Five hundred gold stars...
Read moreMy friends and I went on the first Thursday of March Madness at noon to spend the day there and watch the games as this is a sports bar. When we arrived there were 3 of us and we said we had 2 more coming so we sat at a table for 6. The person who greeted us seemed hesitant to let us sit there even though the restaurant was nearly empty. In fact, she only gave us 4 menus and silverware even though we told her there would be 5 of us, but she said "I'll just give you 4 for now..." as if she didn't believe we'd really have more people coming? We stayed there all day ordering appetizers, lunch, dinner, so many drinks, but this person, who turned out to be the owner, seemed to have something against us. There was never a time that the server came by and someone at the table wasn't ordering another drink or some food. Later in the day it started getting really busy before a Red Wings game. The owner actually came over to me to try to ask us to leave even though we were still ordering drinks and food. I understand that the place was busy but we were still paying patrons! We also planned to stay well beyond when the Red Wings fan would have stayed so she would have lost business if we had left. We had friends coming and going throughout the day, all in all we ended up having 9 different people come and order food and drinks. But the owner was still trying to get us to leave. I have no idea why she was so against paying customers but we definitely won't be back. Each of us spent at least $100. I spent almost $200 just myself. I was looking forward to coming back to this bar since they have so many TVs but the owner made it so clear that she didn't want us there (for what reason, I still don't know) that I will definitely...
Read morePeople be aware that the so much promised parking is practically inexistant, they have a very small lot by the bar (I can say for around 20 cars?) and then another adjacent lot with a bit more space but still small, and three hours before Trans-Siberian orchestra concert the place was already packed….inside and outside; place is busy, door was closing and opening constantly, we were seated closed to, and it was freezing; place is also tight, no bit of privacy while you are eating, very noisy! I know it’s a sport bar, so make sure what you want for ambience! Bathroom was dirty, not all toilets functional and no toilet paper! Food was good and came out fast considering how busy. Thanks to kitchen staff! The waitress was nice, helpful too, working hard, food is a fair price, they also don’t have prices on the drinks menu, the surprise comes with the bill or you if you think to ask (for reference Long Island $12.00$, draught beer $7.00, a beer can $7.00, soda $3.00) but really, nothing good count when in the end you are left with a biter taste of feeling misled and cheated because you realize they charged you a 20% gratuity that is nowhere advertise (they advertise a 18% for parties more then 6, we were 5!) And then you ask for clarification and customer service rep is nice until the moment you express your dissatisfaction with their automatic gratuity policy which is not clearly stated and do not reply any longer. So, I will not go back and not recommend the place to any...
