Inconsistent Scoops Ruin the Experience
My experiences at Milk and Froth's Detroit location have consistently been delightful, with each visit leaving me satisfied with both the quality and quantity of their ice cream. However, my enthusiasm is dampened when I venture to the Ann Arbor location, where the inconsistency in scoop sizes is a persistent issue.
Every time I visit, it's like playing a game of roulette with my dessert. Sometimes I receive a generous scoop that justifies the hefty price tag, while other times I'm left wondering if they've forgotten to fill the scoop entirely.
It's frustrating to pay a premium for what's supposed to be a luxury treat, only to be met with such inconsistency. It's not just about the money; it's about the principle. If Milk and Froth expects customers to shell out top dollar for their ice cream, they need to ensure that every scoop is uniform in size. It's not rocket science; it's basic training.
Quality should never be compromised, and while Milk and Froth boasts about their premium ingredients, they seem to overlook the importance of portion control. It's a shame because when they get it right, the ice cream is indeed delicious. But until they address this issue, I'll be taking my sweet...
Read moreThe customer service was horrible! Wendy was very argumentative about the amount of ice cream in the pint container. I usually buy the pints and the pints are full. This particular day, Wendy made a pint of ice cream and it was equivalent to about half the container. She arguably refused to add more ice cream, repeating she was following the rules. She was very rude and nonchalant. She continuously over-talked me saying she understands my complaint and that I’m not the only one who has complained. If the container is more than a pint size, THEN charge whatever amount you want for the container instead of half filling it. I will not be returning. There are other ice cream shops who would appreciate my business!
*UPDATE: Thank you to the owners response. I appreciate you responding and reaching out to me. I understand that sometimes employees are not an accurate representation of the goal or vision of a business/owner. If you can make the adjustments as expressed and work on the customer service aspect with your employee, then your business can definitely become a popular favorite spot in the Metro...
Read moreI love the ice cream at this place and happy I can get it during the winter. It's nice to have more than one ice cream spot that makes its own ice cream. Milk and Froth flavors have the right amount of sweetness. It kind of reminds me of flavors in Japan or India where it's not outrageously sweet and the flavors come through and are delectable. The cones are magnificent, they are made in house and the texture is sublime.
Side Note: I had read some people saying it's a rip off of an Blank Slate. I def don't get that vibe eating at Milk + Froth. It's its own entity. The flavor, sweetness, silky texture stands out in its own unique way. (Plus it's kind of hypocritical to think that Milk + Froth isn't welcome here when Blank Slate has more than one...
