As a late Christmas present, my in-laws offered to babysit our kids and send us on a date. We chose to go out with another couple and after scrolling through some ideas, we settled on trying here.
In an effort to be as neutral as possible (I'm not wanting to be overly harsh, I promise), I will do my best to avoid narrative, but here is a pros/cons list of our experience.
Pros: We ordered the corn dip and corn bread as appetizers (yes, two corn elements, redunant, I know đ) and they were both delicious.
Their latte is very smooth and tasty.
My husband ordered the Rock N Rye Old Fashioned and said it was delicious.
Cons: I was the first of my party to walk in while everyone else was finding parking. The hostess didn't acknowledge me for a good three minutes because she assumed I was with another party waiting for their table, even though I was standing a few feet away from them and I wasn't greeting or talking to them.
Once we were seated, we waited over 15 minutes to be greeted by our waiter and have our drink orders taken.
The time between us finishing our appetizers to receiving our entrees was over 45 minutes. No explanation was offered and our waiter did not come to check on us or offer more water/more drink orders the entire time, even after we received our main dishes.
One of us ordered the lobster roll. She pulled out pieces of shell a few times while eating it.
My husband had side orders of sausage links and the breakfast potatoes. For $6 per side, it was only two sausage links and the potatoes were completely unseasoned.
I ordered the chicken sandwhich and it was dry.
All the fries that came with our orders tasted ans felt stale. I'm not sure if this was due to their preparation or if they were under a warming lamp for too long and expired, but it was disappointing.
Only one of us finished our meals completely; none of us wanted to take home leftovers.
All in all, I can definitely see the appeal of this place and it's a shame this was our first impression. Perhaps they were short-staffed this particular day or something was going wrong behind the scenes.
Unfortunately, Presley's Kitchen seems to live up to the stereotype of "the more trendy and aesthetically pleasing a restaurant's interior is, the higher the chance of a mediocre experience." Again, I can absolutely see the draw of this restaurant; it just seems a little bit more investment in the overall efficiency, recipe development, and hostess/wait staff professionalism would elevate the overall experience for...
Read moreUnfortunately, I really wanted to like this place as it was so cute and the food looked good but was disappointing. We made a reservation for 12:30. Part of our party arrived at 12:32 and was told that they were waiting for our table to become available. I thought, no worries because not everyone was there yet. Once another member arrived we checked to see and still waiting on our table to become available. We continued waiting even after everyone arrived. There was a group of people just sitting and chatting at what was supposed to be our table after they finished their meal and that continued till 1:30. We were sat at 1:30 and then we had our order taken around 1:40. We ordered appetizers and main courses at the same time and we had no one check on us for 45 minutes not even water refillsâŠWe sat and talked but started to get super hungry and questioning why no one talked to us or just gave us a heads up the kitchen was behind. One of our friends stopped the waiter at 2:25 and mentioned that itâs been a while for even the starters to not be out. After we mentioned it there seemed to be a bit more urgency to get us just fries or something. Sadly, the pop tarts needed to be cooked longer and the fries were slightly warm on top and slightly cold on the bottom (100% needed to be fried longer) making me think they were sitting waiting to be picked up for a while. We finally got our food around 2:45 or so and it was just ok. My chips were stale, salsa wasnât anything special but thankfully the shrimp tacos were good. My husband stated they give you two super large biscuits and not a lot of gravy (and 1-ONE piece of bacon was $6âŠ) and my friendâs potatoes were cold. While the server was sweet in the end, we felt like the middle child forgotten in the corner the whole time we were there. Thankfully, the manager made some accommodations which we were extremely thankful for but I donât think weâll be back. Something that shouldâve been 1-1.5 hour birthday brunch turned into 3 hours of a...

Greeted by the host Jeremiah who was very friendly & energetic, he explained that the booths were not available due to reservations.
