This company would rather try to push people to the brink of insanity than admit they made a mistake and issue a refund.
Now the store owner (first name Nikhilkum) is blowing up my phone from different phone numbers, lying about what happened and what I’ve done, to harass me until I take down my negative reviews claiming they're illegal. He said I've left reviews at 10 places when I only left them on google and yelp. He even claimed I recruited people to leave negative reviews at other places which 1. didn’t happen and 2. is an insanely paranoid accusation.
2 days ago, I was delivered a chocolate gladiator with rocks of ice all through it. I had someone with me who saw it. I called and begged for a refund from the store clerk who treated me with such indifference that I actually cried because I’d just had surgery and I had no other way of eating that day. 45 hours later, the manager who finally showed up to work got all my messages and blew up my phone until I answered, despite being aware from those messages that I’m recovering from surgery, only to berate me and refuse a refund. She lied and said the employee asked for my number so the manager could call me - when the lady never even asked and just sat and let me cry - and claimed that I refused to give it out so she couldn’t call before then. She lied and said she watched video and that there was no ice in my drink. She said my only choice is to have a replacement drink - and drive up there to get it, NOT delivery - even though 1. I can't drive and 2. now I don't trust them not to spit in it. Despite me calling customer service and giving them all my info on Wednesday (after the worker refused to give me a refund, I tried to go through corporate), she never called me until this afternoon AFTER I was encouraged by SK to leave a review on their internal website (see the comment below this google review ) and that is when she blew up my phone, not one second before that - and then she either took revenge on me making her look bad or just didn’t care about anyone but herself and this deadline - and called me incessantly until I answered. All to meet HER 48 hour deadline, to which she admitted on the phone with me. She contradicted herself multiple times with this 48 hour deadline, admitting that this was her first time in the store since it occurred and then turned around and lied again, and said it's my fault she couldn't call earlier bc I refused to give my info, and that never happened. She spoke over me the whole time including raising her voice on me, in the middle of me talking, until I yelled back and then lectured me AGAIN telling me how everything is my fault. I told her MANY times that I'm laying here recovering from surgery and she kept on yelling and demeaning me until I hung up on her. I called back corporate and told them what happened, at this point I was having a panic attack because of how horrible this woman was to me. And they turned around and had this store owner call me with even more lies. So going through corporate isn’t a solution AND since corporate cannot override franchise decisions, I am out $25 for this order… but I can promise, SK will never get another dime of my money. FWIW we tried to reblend the drink at home in our own blender and the ice was so big that it broke the $75 blender as well. When I mentioned this to Nikhilkum, he laughed and asked did I take video of me blending it and if I didn't, I must not be telling the truth. Considering taking them to small claims because I had witnesses and I do not want to enable them to continue to abuse people. Meanwhile, I was told I’m doing all this, just to get a free smoothie, which just proves exactly how poorly they view their clientele. I have blocked all their numbers and have told smoothieking corporate that if I receive another from a new number, I will have no choice but to file a TPO. Trying to bully customers into taking down negative feedback is in fact the illegal thing occurring here, and no amount of attempting to gaslight me or DARVO will...

Within 3 minutes of me placing it online I realized I ordered from the wrong store so I called the Douglasville location and asked that they not make the order because I placed it at the wrong store. The associate, Cherish, put me on hold for about 3 minutes and came back to the phone informing that they can only refund me for 2 smoothies because they already made 1 of them. She asked me if thats alright and I said no because I will not be able to pick it up due to the fact I am in college park at work. I asked could I speak to the manager then she stated she was the manager. So I asked to speak with the owner. Cherish put me on a brief hold then stated that the owner was not answering and she could collect my information and have them call me back. I have been to this location on many occasions because I stayed in the area a few years ago and I am frequently in the area. I can't believe they couldn't refund the smoothie for me. I will never go to this location again. I advise anyone that goes to hwy 5 location be careful when you order because they do not work with you, even if you have been a smoothie king customer for years. Management in the store has bad customer service skills because Cherish could have been more empathetic to the situation and allowed me a refund for all 3 smoothies instead of just 2. I have been in management for years and mistakes happen like this. Something could have been done other than me just losing money for a smoothie that I paid for.
Update: after a two week period.I received a call from the corporate office of smoothie king and they corrected the issue and refunded me for everything.. I have been back to the HWY 5 location since the correction.. thank you so much...
Read moreNow mind you I’m a regular at this location.. and I do mean I’m there every almost single morning.. usually the same guy Christian is there and he makes my smoothie perfect. This evening I decided I’d go on a walk to the location since it isn’t too far from my house. My smoothie was terrible, it literally taste like sugared water! My smoothie includes both bananas and peanut butter.. 2 bold flavors and I couldn’t taste neither one! So she made the smoothie over.. again - DISGUSTING! So at this point I’m asking someone else to make it because clearly she don’t know how to work the blender.. and I’m STILL being nice about it mind you because it’s literally just a $9 smoothie! Things start to get heated when the little “clear” girl goes to the back and call her manager and when she comes back she proceeds to ignore me.. then after I asked one of the other girls to make my smoothie, she chimes in and says “well I called my manager and since I already made it twice I don’t have to make it again”. I was in there with my child, literally the only reason things ended peacefully Because refund my money or make my smoothie correctly, how does that not make sense?! End of the day after all this mess, one of the other girls called the manager back, I ended up speaking with him and although he didn’t sound like brightest crayon in the box .. I was told I be refunded.All this for a $9 smoothie! A whole situation that could’ve been resolved in 10 mins turned into me standing in this smoothie place for damn near 30-45 mins.
