What a hoot. First trip in a long time and had been told about strawberry and banana French toast; had to get it. Strawberries were soooooo sweet and not a bruise on the banana. Last week met a new trainee (Britanny). Went back a few days ago (did I mention IHOP is almost an hour away?) and there was Brittany taking care of the whole dining area! In spite of a "covid seating" requirement, she still found time to be as friendly to everyone and no lag in serving meals. Granted the food was great, but she made the whole dining experience a real pleasure. Only two hiccups...my husband (yes, we got married) and I had ordered SWEET TEA. Another server brought us our refill. Took a huge gulp and nearly fell out of my chair...it wasn't sweet; Neither was John's. I don't know who was laughing more because we had both taken such large swallows; just too funny. The whole time Mom is quietly eating her omelet and drinking her soda. The only other hiccup is getting to the bathroom. It's like rocking a maze. When you have an 85 year old gripping a rollator for dear life trying to navigate the tiny yet adequate passageway, it needs to be taken in consideration our older family members. That area really needs to be redone for their stability and...

Read moreVisited today around 4 or 5 in the evening. Our waitress was great. She was juggling most of the room (6-7 tables including a party of about 10) with ease. The food was good as well. I was not happy with how they had the larger side of the restaurant closed for cleaning at such a busy time. People were waiting for tables to be cleared. Maybe it was unusually busy for the day and time, but the smaller section was very cramped with the amount of people.
I was also less than impressed by that man who seemed to be the manager. He was trying to get the waitress to clear tables and do extra duties while she was clearly extremely busy. Eventually, he got someone from the kitchen to clear tables as he meandered around to check to see how tables were doing who hadn't even put in an order. He finally started to come out to get drink orders but at one point, he interrupted the waitress to place the drinks on the table and reach over people, while the waitress was trying to take food orders at the same table. As I was leaving, he stood to chat with someone he seemingly knew while the place was packed.
The high rating is all for our waitress. She was very punctual and anticipated all of our needs before we asked despite being...
