The server was very nice but the soul food is overpriced and not great. They don't print receipts so you have to give them your email or phone number to get one. The reason I mention this is because the meal I wanted that says "main course" was 10.99 and the person behind the counter said Teo sides come with it. The final price was more than I expected but they didn't want to give me a receipt without me giving personal information. Finally she pulled up the order and I could see that the "platter" (not shown on the menu) was 7.00 more than what I thought we were talking about. I got fried chicken (6 wing dings) with man n cheese, candied yams and an extra side of greens. I the Mac and cheese was not fantastic (not enough cheese). The candied yams were not done all the way through and had a strange after taste (almost sour taste) I couldn't recognize. The greens were sweet and there again was some seasoning I couldn't quite place. The chicken was not bad but had a burnt after taste (which may have been the grease). The cake tasted pretty good but the slice was not full. The narrow end was not on it! All in all I'm not sure I would try it again. Since they also have a Korean menu, you might have better...
Read moreSince this restaurant was recommended to me a few months ago. I have really enjoyed their Korean fried chicken. I work in the area and try to go as often as I can and will usually stop for lunch when I'm shopping at the mall as well. The person who recommended the place also said that they have had 2 sauces mixed on the chicken and that it was delicious. I tried that a couple of times and liked it as well. Last time I went, I asked for a mix of sauce and was told that I could not do that. OK. I asked for 1 sauce and left with the food. Today, I was there and tried to get a mix of sauce again. The same lady said that it couldn't be done because it would "ruin" the recipe and the employees who have mixed it have gotten in trouble for doing so. My thing is, is the recipe really ruined if that is the way a customer likes it? And it's not using any more sauce in the mix, if that's the concern. And if they told me it would cost extra, I would gladly pay it but that was never an option given. I know that one customer lost is not a huge deal to them. I'm disappointed that they couldn't accommodate to this customer's preference. And I'm sorry to the people who have gotten in trouble for attempting to please...
Read moreThe cauliflower wings are amazing! Literally the best I've had ever. I always get the garlic soy sauce and lemon pepper on the side to dip the wings in 😋🤤 my new obsession 😂
Update! Sadly..... Today I ordered from grub hub , I put in the notes to please put the sauce on the side like I do every single time. They never say anything , in fact I pay extra for this! Today the owner calls and tells me she can not do that because it cost to much! I kindly asked to do it this time and I won't ask again since I already paid and can not eat much sauce due to a dietary restriction. I was still denied. The owner was not accommodating at all to my dietary needs even though the last three months every employee she has, has been. Please update staff so everyone is on board. I will not be back, very unfortunate. The reason she can't do sides, said it cost less to drizzle than put some in a very small cup. Literally told me to...
