Burger King — Restaurant in Downers Grove

Man, I haven't had BK in years. After tonight's visit, I see why. Placed a mobile order with pickup through the drive thru. Gave the person my info, they say to pull up to the 2nd window. I pull up, I realize I made a mistake on the order on the drink, and I tried getting the guys attention. He doesn't acknowledge me. I start waving, saying sir, he never gives any indication that he sees me waving or hears me. Finally, I say sir loudly, he opens the window and says, ma'am I'm trying to work on an order. I was like okay, I made a mistake on the drink and wanted to let you know before you pour the drink. He says okay and closes the window. Whatever, fine. The drink will be fixed and they won't waste product. Wrong! The soda flavor was way off and it mainly tasted like seltzer water. I ended up pouring it out when I got home. Ordered a combo of a small fry, whopper, chicken wrap, a Hershey pie and the soda. The fries were extremely stale, not hot, and honestly, just hard to eat. The Hershey pie was warmer than the fries were! I don't know how it's possible, but in the 2 minutes it took to get where we were going, the food was cold. The chicken wrap might as well have been called a cold tortilla with a heaping amount of mayo and hints of chicken.

Worst customer treatment I’ve ever received. I was I n the Drive thru during dinner hours. I waited at the sign for several minutes with no contact. The second lane took and order so I said “hello” and still nothing. They took another order in the other lane but that order showed up on my screen and so I said “Hello!” louder. They said “Ma’am there are only 3 of us working” I said “Fine but why is the other lane moving?” She said to me “They aren’t ordering. They are just pulling forward.” A flat out lie since the order showed on my screen! I told her she was lying and she said “I don’t really know but you can just leave.” There are so many things they could have done and said to make waiting acceptable. Acknowledging I was there and asking for me to wait a moment being most obvious! I will not be back! I wish I could...

Go through drive thru and place order. Go to pay with credit card. It's handed back saying we can't take prepaid. It's a normal credit card, not prepaid. They try again and ask for a different card. Provide a different card. Manager comes and is having issues. Asks if we can pay in cash. We've just used both cards successfully that same day. Next they say that credit cards are working up front but not by the drive thru. They say we can keep the drinks but there's nothing they can do. We ask that they try the card where the machines are apparently working. They reluctantly take the card and (I think) try. They come back and say it doesn't work.
