Hash Kitchen is one of those places that I really want to give a 5 star review but just can't because of the music.
The food: we have been here a few times now and have loved the food every single time we came. The billionaires Bacon is ridiculous, but it tastes good. I can make candied bacon at home, but we had to try it at least once. We tried the biscuits and gravy 5-star, the carnitas hash 5-star, breakfast nacho hash 5-star, the Chile relleno Benedict 5-star, bread pudding French toast sticks which came with a creme brulee dipping sauce 5-star, birria scrambler 5-star. And more, and It was all amazing. I couldn't recommend the food more. We actually had to get the bacon twice because there was a misunderstanding the first time. I jokingly asked if we didn't get the gold on the bacon would it would be cheaper. The server said no, it's the same price, and I said ok and ordered it. When it came out, it didn't have the gold (and understandable so), so we ordered it the second time we came as well, to get the full experience.
The service: I've never had a problem with the service here. The servers are always very nice, can answer any questions we have, and are quick to the table and quick with the food. We've never had a bad experience because of the service.
The atmosphere: music is bad, music is too loud, and the tables are all too cramped together. I can not stand the atmosphere of this place. For some reason, they even have a dj when the same bad music can just be played from a playlist. The place is designed to feel like a club and comes with all the worst elements of one. Loud bad music and being cramped too close together with people, many of which you'd rather not associate with. We even tried sitting outside the last time we came, but unfortunately, there are speakers outside too. But it's not cramped, so that was nice.
We have a big event coming up in augest, and I would have really liked to have brought family and friends here, but we will have children with us and many older people. The music is not appropriate for kids, and even if the older folks don't mind the music, they won't like how loud it is.
Overall, I would recommend the food any day of the week, but I can't recommend...
Read moreAbsolutely loved my experience at Hash Kitchen in Draper! This place deserves every single one of its five stars and more. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, and having a live DJ adds such a fun and energetic vibe to the entire dining experience. The variety of food choices is unparalleled, and every dish I tried was bursting with incredible flavor – truly amazing!
And let's talk about the cocktails – they are over the top in the best possible way. The creativity and quality that go into each drink are truly impressive. And don't even get me started on the bloody Mary bar – it's nothing short of phenomenal. The options and mix-ins available are endless, allowing you to create your own perfect concoction.
Overall, Hash Kitchen in Draper is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The combination of a fantastic atmosphere, delectable food, and next-level cocktails make it a standout destination. I can't wait to return and indulge in everything this place has to offer again!
I can't believe I almost forgot to mention the "Chilaquiles" and the scrambles served in a skillet at Hash Kitchen in Draper – they are absolute game-changers! The "Machine Achilles" is a powerhouse dish that combines all the breakfast classics into one glorious masterpiece. And the scrambles served in a skillet are not only visually stunning but also incredibly delicious and satisfying.
And let's not overlook the avocado toast – it's not your average avocado toast. This thing is a towering marvel, a good 3 inches thick, and it's a true feast for the eyes and the taste buds. The generous portion of creamy avocado piled high on perfectly toasted bread is a sight to behold and a delight to devour.
Hash Kitchen's attention to detail and commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience shines through in every aspect, from the innovative dishes to the vibrant atmosphere. If you're a fan of top-notch breakfast and brunch options, Hash Kitchen in Draper is the place to be. I absolutely can't wait to return and dive back into the culinary delights that this gem of a restaurant...
Read moreOk, the good stuff first. Our server Ana was wonderful. She was pleasant and calm and did everything she could to make things right and good for us.
The food is good. I got the fried pork chop hash and an extra biscuit because the biscuits were super good. The pork chop was perfect. I really enjoyed my food. The drinks were fun and the Bloody Mary bar was great. I had a cappuccino and it was excellent. Zeth did a great job bringing out the flavor of the coffee. I'm not into all the syrups and such, but they do that too. The donut bar was fun.
The negatives. We were a group of 12 and waited over 2 hours to get seated. We spent an hour and forty minutes of that outside in 40 degree weather without any contact from inside. And when we went in to check on progress the hostess was super rude as if it was our fault that we were having a birthday celebration and disrupted things for her by actually wanting to eat at this restaurant. After an hour and 40 minutes and seeing at least 70 people seated ahead of us we all went inside together. It was only at that point that we were offered coffee and donuts by the manager while we waited for another 20 minutes or so. Ironically, after being offered the donuts, they were out and had to wait on those too.
It is loud. After three hours of that experience my ears hurt. No kidding. I use to play in heavy metal bands and this was like leaving a concert. Forget having a conversation.
The friers were down. I assume after we made our order, because they didn't inform us when we ordered so a couple of people in our party had to wait an hour for their food.
They did take those meals off the ticket so that was something.
All in all, I wouldn't go back. It might be good for someone half my age who just wants to be in the middle of all that, but it was definitely a one shot deal for us.
I'd love to see the menu in a different venue because the food really...
