Two words: Bread Bar! They have a little unlimited bread bar near the soda machines and it is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced in a little old Italian casual restaurant. I feel like Olive Garden should start doing this! It just makes sense. They had 3 or 4 types of bread, olive oil and balsamic on the tables, and plenty of butter. The service here is pretty good, it's very casual, you order when you first walk in and set yourself, plenty of room in the dining room. Staff did come to check on us a few times and our food arrived quickly. For a quick stop off the freeway when your driving home from SF in your friend's Tesla that needs a charge, this is a great little place. Walking distance from Tesla charging station. The food was okay, I enjoyed my soup and my friends said their pasta was good, they took home leftovers. And the bread bar---we were all delighted by it. I wouldn't mind coming back and trying some of the pasta. It's not fancy, but it is a pleasant...
Read moreOrdered the chicken alfredo which is simple enough to execute but the kitchen completely missed the mark. Chicken was overcooked and wasn’t even in the same room as any seasoning. The sauce seemed cream based and also lacked flavor. The thickness of the sauce was completely off putting. It ran off the pasta as if I dunked it in milk. The side of garlic bread I ordered came burnt. So it was obvious that the staff was just pumping orders out to get it over with. Portion for price was off on top of everything. I expected to get enough for a small lunch and light dinner but it wouldn’t properly cover one meal. The whole order would have gone back but I ordered takeout, so all of this was found out when I got home and I wasn’t driving all the way back. I gutted through the meal because of how expensive it was but I was less than satisfied to say the least. I wanted to love this place. I’m new to the area and was looking for a good pasta spot. This...
Read moreOrdered in store before the rush at 5:45pm. People seated in the restaurant and many who ordered long after were already home and eating their meals by the time I got mine.
Waited 30 mins before asking an ETA for my order and eating bread from the self serve bar. After an hour finally the order arrived. No utensils, and had to bother for more containers (as my date now running late for his appointment) to split the meal that was to be shared. Trust, I wasn't going to ask them to do anything else.
It didn't seem like there was one manager in the building that thursday night. At least no one with adequate experience for the dinner rush. The food was alright, as any would be when hypoglycemia is triggered.
Not that I expected a quick meal, heck wasn't even in a rush. But I sure won't be returning here without an online order to be ready for pick up. Even if I saw how many other people had to wait for their online orders, so this location it will...
