I usually order from China Cafe but wanted to try something new so I decided to try Asian Kitchen. First I had the gyoza (potstickers), eggroll and cheese wontons. All were quite good. The dipping sauce for the gyoza was really nice. The portions were good.
I also ordered shrimp egg foo young and the lunch combo Beef in Garlic Sauce which came with fried rice and the egg roll.
I really didn't find much flavor in those three so I ate very little of it. I was also pretty full from the apps. However, I came back to it the next day and two days after that and everything was really DELICIOUS! Like many things, Chinese food is always better the next day or two in my opinion. All of the flavors have a chance to come out and meld. Everything tasted so much better!! Delish actually. The Beef in Garlic Sauce even had a little bit heat to it which I really liked. Everything was so much better, even the fried rice. My only suggestion would be to perk up the gravy for the egg foo young a bit. Maybe some garlic? But that's pretty typical everywhere for egg foo young. Also add hot mustard packets for those of us who like it.
I requested no broccoli in the beef but it was in there. Not too much so I actually ate it.
I ordered through DoorDash and everything came sizzling hot. I would order from here again. Probably a day or more before I want to...
Read moreWe tried this place because of its 5 star reviews, but honestly, they didn't match up at all—maybe those ratings are old or just made up. The place was fine, but service took a while and the food was by far the worst Asian food I've had. The server (who was the only one working outside of the kitchen) pointed out the high chair for us and we had to go get our own. They forgot serving plates and we had to ask two times, despite being the only people there. Then, three items from our order never came and instead of bringing them, the server gave us the bill while we were still eating (and waiting).
Both the Szechuan chicken and General Tsao were swimming in a weirdly sweet sauce—couldn’t taste anything spicy or Szechuan about either, and there was a kinda burnt flavor too. When I asked for chili oil or spicy sauce, they said they didn’t have any. On top of that, our server talked so quietly we could barely hear, and it felt like she and some guy were actually hiding from us when we needed basic stuff like water or forks. Not recommended, unless you like sweet chicken a lot and want to serve yourself. Also, almost forgot, we never got those...
Read moreThis was a take out order. I ordered the Phoenix Roll for $15.50, including tax. The staff that were taking orders were wonderful. They were friendly, helpful, and polite. Unfortunately, my sushi was one of the worst tasting sushi rolls I've ever had. I was highly disappointed. I brought the sushi back, and I ordered a different sushi roll. When I got the replacement sushi, it was only half a sushi roll, minus the soy sauce, and it was dry. It was decent for being a dry California roll, but I'd never pay over $15 for half a California roll that is dry and lacking the condiments. I returned the order and requested my money to be refunded. The management was unfriendly, demanding my card without any explanation. The atmosphere is dark, dank, and not welcoming at all. The prices are outrageous for what is provided. $1.90 for a 12oz. can of Coke (as told to me by the staff. I refuse to pay that price). I do not recommend this business to anyone. I spent time and money plus energy that only resulted in my having to go to a reliable sushi place....
