JS KITCHEN — Restaurant in Duluth

I have been wanting to visit here since I read the article about them in creative loafing. I was driving from Charlotte, North Carolina back home to Atlanta and I walked in after driving 3 hours straight. I really needed to use the restroom before I shopped. I asked where the restroom was and a fellow customer pointed to where it was but the lady running the shop said no we don't have a public restroom. I tried to explain that I was coming here to shop and drove three hours but she rudely interrupted me and wouldn't listen and told me I would have to go next door. I went next door feeling insulted and discriminated against. I also hated to go to another place to use their facilities that i did not plan on purchasing items from. I came back to talk to her and explain and tell her how hurt i felt from the way she treated me and she continued to be rude. Had she talked to me reasonably then we would have been fine. I really felt like if I was Korean I would not have been treated that way. I am so sad because Jang su Jang restaurant is my favorite Korean restaurant in the city and I really want to try out their items at their market. Geez. This place is not warm. I walked in and there's a room where a lot people are in. The lady at the desk is already helping a couple. The people that are gathered in the room stop talking to all look at me. I realized this is a korean establishment but being in duluth i assumed they've encountered other races before.... I felt instantly uncomfortable. The couple infront of me leave and I step up... still no greeting. Me: hi, I've never been here before. How do i order? Unfriendly lady: ( nada) Me: soooooo can you help me out? Unfriendly lady: you order boxes

The best bento boxes I’ve ever had! If you’re a fan of Jang Su Jang, then you know they’re famous for their side dishes. JS Kitchen by Jang Su Jang is a grab n go shop offering the best quality side dishes. They serve bento boxes with the menu changing each day. I recommend that you follow their IG story for the daily menu. Sometimes, they sell out quick, so it’s recommended that you go there early! I am from out of town, so I picked up a bulgogi bento box to go. I didn’t eat it until the next day, but the bulgogi and side dishes still tasted fresh. The box also comes with purple rice and soup. JS Kitchen makes purple rice only—no white rice. I am not usually a fan of purple rice but I had no option. However, this is probably the best purple rice I’ve had!
