The manager was RUDE AS HELL!!! I get there at 2:45pm because I have to be at work by 3:00pm drove all the way from Gwinnett area to this location passing 100 starbucks and decided to go to this location. As I get there, I pulled up to the speaker to order my coffee. Mind you there was no one in line besides one truck in front of me which was already at the pick up windows. So I get there and I'm just-a-waiting...I'm getting impatient because I need to be at work by 3 I said, "helloo, hello", the starbucks employee said, (guy) "OH sorry I didn't have my head phones on"....I'm thinking why not, but I didn't say anything I causally respond with," It's fine" and began ordering my coffee."I'd like a Cinnamon Dolce Cold Brew w Oatmilk. 4pumps of Cinnamon Dolce and 2 pumps of Brown sugar TALL. He said would that be all for you. I said yes. Pulled up to the windows they hand me the wrong drink. Just an Ice cold brew. I said that's not mine. I said, " are you guys not listening, what is going on in there. I just sat at the speaker and you guys weren't taking orders. And I told him what I previously ordered, thinking he would just hear me out and have them remake the drink. No he calls the supervisor which didnt make since to me. All the other starbucks are soo nice. With a smile on their face theyd be like," I can just remake it for you" or if I can't taste the syrup they'll add it for free or have no problem when your drink isnt like u want it. Other starbucks care about making their customers happy. Not this one.. So then he calls the supervisor up. When she came up she already had "attitude" written all over her face. So I start telling her what happened between the ordering speaker and now my coffee and she said if u keep yelling I'm not going to serve you. I said Im yelling? She said do you want your coffee I said yes I still want my coffee. She was so demanding for no reason when I'm the one abt to be late for work and I'm the one who wants the coffee. I said how are you getting an attitude with me when your employees are not doing their job. She said that's it I'm refusing you service have a good day. I'm still upset about this situation. Because if you dont like customer service then don't get jobs where you have to be accommodating & nice to your customers. I will never go back there. There are plenty more starbucks with much better service than this one. The service at that location SUCKS!! You would think that since this is a good area you would receive quality service...NO! Ghetto.... You mean u really refused me service when your employees wasn't doing their job appropriately. Not one time did I raise my voice at her. She walked up to the window already with an attitude trying to make an excuse as to why she didn't want to serve me. I ended up at McDonald's for my Mocha frappe. Just amazed at the LACK of customer service that I received. I will be...

A little over a week ago I was there meeting a client. There was a black man dressed in a very nice African attire sitting across from us the whole time. He actually came there after us, which is crucial to this story. We saw one of the Starbucks employees come out and do some straightening up on the outside where we were. She then engaged in a small friendly conversation with the black man. She even said "good to see you" like she had seen him before.
About 30 minutes later we saw a policeman walk up to the guy. He was pleasant to the man and said the Starbucks people didn't want him there and that he needed to see his ID before he (the black man) left. He said all of this in one sentence. The man was very confused as to what was going on and handed over his ID. He kept asking why was he being put out and the officer really didn't know. Then he asked him had he been out there drinking (alcohol). He said no and pointed to the only thing he had there to drink out of which was tumbler that he told the officer a tea was in. The officer said he would ask the Starbucks employees why they didn't want him there. I found that interesting because he told him they didn't want him there, he had to go, and asked for his ID all at once.
At this point I'm really tuned in to the point that me and my client stalled our work. The officer came back and said, in a confused state, that a manager said she confronted him about drinking wine there in a cup some weeks ago.
Here is the thing. If he was put out after that incident, IF it did happen, he obviously was unaware he was put out. In fact, I saw this same man minding his own business 2 days in a row before this incident at this same starbucks. Nobody said anything to him. In fact, I've seen him on several occasions and he is usually by himself and minding his own. as a 36 year old progressive white woman, I first thought it could have been racial but the fact that the woman speaking to him friendly was white, there were a good number of black female employees inside, and the fact I just never seen anything like that at a Starbucks had and still has me puzzled. Nobody on that staff that had seen him there for the same amount of hours we were there thought enough to come out there and say anything to him. That is cowardly. I follow the news and see how black men have a higher risk of being killed by the police just by simple traffic stops or just contact with them. For them to do that (and excuse me I hope it wasn't one of the black female employees) shows me they lack character and consideration. This man definitely appeared to be a reasonable person. He was non-combative. Shame on the staff of the Ashford Dunwoody starbucks. Do not spend one dime there. There are other starbucks....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am honestly appalled with my experience at Starbucks this morning. I went in at about 9:40 when they weren't super busy and proceeded to order at the register my grande iced carmel machiatto. I paid and sat down.
Time goes by, my name isn't called and people are getting their drinks who ordered after me. I wait some more because I am patient and understand it takes time. But still no drink. I moved to the counter to sit so maybe I will be noticed and helped by a worker, but no, they just look at me as if I'm sitting in starbucks for fun.
I finally ask if there is a drink being made for Carlie. A guy worker looked at me and shook his head no. Didn't ask questions or anything. I say well I ordered it a while ago and people are getting their drinks soooo. He says well was it a mobile order and I said no, I ordered it from the cash register and I've been waiting for some time.
No apologies no nothing. Rudely asks me what size I ordered AS IF IT'S MY FAULT. Then just throws my drink on the counter, didn't call my name out or anything. I looked at the name on the drink, and it's for me. At this point I am so upset especially since I did nothing wrong and was so kind and patient.
I am 100% sure if another customer was in my shoes that they would be appalled as well. This is the SECOND time that a situation just like this has happened so if someone can tell me a better way than to order from the register and wait patiently to get my drink please let me know because obviously I am doing something...
