Had lunch on April 5, 1130 am. Our server was Desirae C and there was a service manager with an earring, and refused to give me his name.
Desirae attention to service was poor. She just took order and brought order, that it. No follow ups, forgot to bring one drink and also booster seat. I had to go get the drink, I had to go to, ironically the service manager, to remind him that we need a booster seat.
As we were walking out, I asked the guy, if I can speak to the manager. And he says he is, so I politely informed him that the service was terrible. That’s when all went down hill, where he had a smirk on his face and responded something to the effect of, thanks for the feedback. No follow through, so I asked for anyone else, he said he’s it. I asked for his name, he refused to give me his name. I asked for business card, he says he’s doesn’t have one. I asked for owners info, he says he either doesn’t have it or don’t know, That’s when things got heated.
I went to the bar and ask the staff for same info and all they said, he was it. I asked for his name again, and he tells me, in verbatim, “I don’t have to give you my name.” He tried to recover at that point and finally asked what were the discrepancies. And I told him, he was the first discrepancy. He was extremely disrespectful. And then he tried to put Karen on me, saying I’m being agressive. That’s when I turn away and leave. And rest of their staff was just as complicit, perhaps they’re just as bad or they’re...
Read moreIf you want an absolutely fabulous dining experience from water to entree, this is your place to go. We were a party of 7 with no reservation on a Friday night. We walked in and were sat almost immediately (please don't accept this as the norm, we are from out of town, but I have to assume we just got lucky). For anyone else who is really picky about water, I got you. The water here is like double filtered spring water. Crisp, cool, refreshing, with no weird taste. I'm a lover of macaroni and cheese and several of my reviews feature my favorite mac n cheese plates. Nothing I've ever tasted has ANYTHING on this. It's flavorful with the perfect amount of bread crumbs and soft noodles. The cheese isn't too sharp or too bland. It's a perfect blend of creamy and noodles. I got it with artichokes and mushrooms and the mix-ins were perfectly proportioned and cooked very well. My fiance got the fish tacos. They were gone by the time our waiter came back asking about first impressions. He says they were very good and would also recommend them. Our waiter was friendly and patient and awesome. Never got our orders wrong, was prompt on refilling our drinks, and laughed at our dumb jokes. He did a really great job. If you're going anywhere near here and haven't been before, I recommend it. Don't...
Read moreWent to chimayo yesterday. Booked a low table for four. Arrived at restaurant to be told that due to being fully committed we would have to be moved to high top. We didn’t want a high top so after a bit of digging in my heels was shown to a low table and given 1.5 hours to eat which is PLENTY OF TIME. However, all the food came out at once (starters and mains). A little silly. But we ate and left. Food was as usual delicious. I got an email this morning from resy asking me to review the restaurant (which is only seen by chimayo i think) which I did, basically explaining this story and suggesting they don’t double book tables and honor seating requests/preferences. End of story? Not even close. The guy who checked us in yesterday just called me to harangue me about my review and seemed to want to relitigate last nights meal seating snafu for some reason. Then he hung up on me. Was I mad about the meal? No foods great. Was I even thinking about the seating problem? No! It was kinda funny after we were sitting and eating. Did I expect to receive a call from an annoyed employee telling me off for posting a review (that was private to chimayo and not public)? Hell no. Am I miffed now?...
