Starlight Lounge — Restaurant in Durango

I've been here a few times. The music is nice and often has live DJs, but the layout is terrible and facility dirty (and located a used condom on the dance floor, see attached). In addition, the prices are higher than area competitors, and the service is consistently poor and slow.

Tonight, I ordered a cocktail with Sprite but got just water. Brought to bartender's attention, and she denied the mistake. Told her it might just be out. She tried the Sprite and told me it's fine but not carbonated (so not fine). Asked for a cup of the not carbonated Sprite to mix myself (still better than just water) but was shrugged off (while looking annoyed) and she began threatening to kick a different patron out because she did not tip instead.

Lastly, the drinks are overpriced. If you decide to go here, start elsewhere first to save $$.

Starlight seems to be consistently our favorite local bar for various reasons. It’s cozy yet classy. Great patio during the warmer months. It can be slightly chaotic to order drinks just because it gets a little crowded and a bit loud but, that’s because we all love the place 😎 They have some great occasional live music. Some DJs are better than others and that’s the same anywhere in Durango. Drag Trivia on Thursdays is fun and Wednesdays we’ve enjoyed taking friends to karaoke there. Was recommended the blue moon drink it was delicious! They had a nice outdoor patio/smoking area only down fall was there was no music playing out there like there was inside which we were enjoying but the fresh air was nice too! After tipping our waiter we were told about this fun little bar game they have called "clackers?" And a dj would be there later. And that's not all they had a selfie photo op spot, ping pong table, their bar menu items sounded so good but we had just ate up the road, friendly bar staff. All around...
