As someone from the east coast, Dunkin' has always been a very important place to me. Maybe five or so years ago my grandfather had always brought us through the drive through to grab a box of munchkins and a hot coffee. As he got older and his health started to further deteriorate, he stopped being able to drive us or sometimes even leave his bed. At the time I didn't think much about those Dunkin' visits, though as I've gotten older those memories have stuck with me and going back reminds me of the most amazing man I have known despite his recent passing.
I personally have never been a coffee person, but over the years of coming to Dunkin I've found tons of amazing alternatives. They have the most amazing frozen drinks and refreshers as well as quality made food that comes out quickly.
Despite my low standards for places like this, I have been to a surprising amount of low quality locations. Either the staff is never doing their job, the drinks are made wrong, food tastes sickening, or even just things taking 30+ minutes to come out. Not this location though! I haven't been here a ton yet as I'm new to the area but I always come after my hair appointments right across the street. I have never experienced any issues and always enjoy the smilies and friendly nature of the staff. Rarely I have experienced wait times, but I understand rushes happen and have always feel cared for once I do receive my order. The staff makes sure my order is right and if anything is wrong they offer me a free donut for compensation as well as a remake. The inside of the store itself is clean and well kept as well as decorated nicely. On multiple occasions I have seen staff cleaning the lobby and notice their respect for guest already there as well as the following of proper regulations.
The manager is super sweet and I enjoy the way she runs things. I haven't personally had a chance to talk with her, but I've watched her interactions with other customers or during interviews and she seems nice to both those around her as well as her staff. I 100% recommend this location to anyone looking for a quiet place to have a coffee, lunch, or even...
Read moreGetting one star because that is the minimum to give. Today, 6/7/2023, I am the 8th 1-star review out of 9 reviews left in the last week. And I can certainly see why. I went to this Dunkin Donuts, and was literally yelled at upon entering "We'll be with you when we can"...something to that effect. Which was fine, no rush, I wanted to see what they had. As the folks in front of me were ordering, I noticed how short and snippy the employee was with them. Kind of reminded me of the Soup "seller" from Seinfeld. I didn't see his name, but he had a piercing under his right eye, on his cheekbone or thereabouts. When it came my time to order, I said I'd like a half dozen donuts. His immediate reply "variety", to which I informed him I'd like to select the donuts. This clearly perturbed him, as was evidenced by the despondent sigh in having to get me what I wanted, versus what he wanted to put in the box. Okay, whatever. Two toasted coconut. Great. Two jelly filled. Great. One Bavarian, I believe: OH NO, THAT IS A SPECIALTY, YOU CAN'T GET THAT. Okay, that's fine, I'll just pay the upcharge. NO I'M TELLING YOU, YOU CAN'T GET THAT. IT HAS TO BE SOLD SEPARATELY. So, you're telling me I have to purchase seven donuts, because you can't put a "special" donut in my box and charge me the difference? THAT'S WHAT I SAID, YOU HAVE TO BUY IT SEPARATELY. You know what, forget it...and I heard him snicker as I walked out. I think the issue is, he had already rang up my half dozen before asking which ones I wanted, and didn't want to have to be bothered with adding the $.50 or whatever it was. Well, that or he just loves to fight with customers. But don't take just my word for it...check out all of the other dissatisfied customers. Bro, if you hate your job that bad...quit and go do something else. Better yet, Dunkin management, why don't you hire a staff that knows and cares about...
Read moreNow on the list of places I won't hit in between stores. Note to the staff here: If you have people already in the drive-thru, and for some reason you can't take their order through the drive-thru anymore, let them know that. I sat there behind a red truck and waited for about 10 minutes, I thought about just backing up and skipping the Dunkin trip but didn't want to seem rude because I appreciate that this location is usually super slammed, so I waited. An employee comes out, puts a sheet of paper on an A-Frame promotional sign, and then puts the promotional sign behind my car and proceeds to walk inside. I actually read the sign as he was putting it up "Drive-Thru Closed" but he said nothing to either of us. The red truck sat there a little longer and now I'm trapped in the drive-thru. The red truck pulls up to the window finally and makes an order, which I also have to sit through, and then finally I'm free from the drive-thru. That was unprofessional and rude. I could have been told by an employee that the drive-thru was closed, I could have backed my vehicle up and left with no issue, but trapping me into the drive-thru and not saying a word lost my business permanently.
It's a bummer because I really enjoyed this location and it's perfectly located between 5 of my stores. Oh, and if any of the staff is reading this, I'm the one that usually tips 15-20 dollar gift cards for my one coffee and donut, but won't be any longer. The Dunkin' on Wadsworth may be farther, but that's where I'll go from...
