I really like the moe’s food but this one in edgewater was very different.I get there about 10-15 minutes till closing time and I understand that the staff would be annoyed if I sat in there and ate so I wanted to cut them some slack and just take it to go.So when I walk in I don’t even get a welcome to moe’s greating then they all look at me with blank stares and I just walked up to make my order and one of the lady’s walked up to take my order. So she asked what I wanted In a very annoyed tone and I ordered a Doug so she asks for all my toppings and I tell them to her and for all the toppings she practically just threw them on there even with the caso she put it on so bad that spilled out the Doug. So I finished putting on my toppings and I asked for it to be extra toasted because that’s the way that I like it so I’m up to pay for my order and she takes the Doug out in about 10 seconds and when I look at the Doug it is flimsy not even cooked like they normally do it so when the lady comes up to give me my food she puts the chips in the container since I’m taking it to go and she gives me hardly even a handful and half of the chips are broken. At any other Moes I would’ve just asked for more but at this point I was so fed up with the annoyed tone, terrible service and food that I payed for my food and just left to get in my car too go home. What made me even angrier was that when I did open up my food to eat it it wasn’t even cut in half correctly which isn’t too big of a deal but remember how I said they didn’t cook it for too long about 10 seconds that when I went to take a bite of one of the half’s (more like a third since she cut it wrong) almost everything spilled out I have never gotten this kind of terrible service anywhere and would not expect to get it Moes I would not recommend going to the Moes in Edgewater because the staff are very mean and the food and service is just terrible Just go to a different Moes instead. But if you do decide to go to this...
Read moreI go to the Moe’s in Edgewater NJ all the time. When you go in person your order comes out the way you asked for it. BUT, if you place an order online for delivery, they pick and choose what they want to send you and then when you call to speak to someone to tell them that they made a mistake, they are persistent claiming they didn’t. Two different occasions they sent wrong food and won’t own up to it. Instead they are very rude. Their response both times were “well are the ingredients you wanted in your order? If so what does it matter if it’s on a burrito or a stack?” Are you kidding me????? I’m the customer and I’m paying for what I ordered. She then proceeds to speak to me with an even meaner tone asking me “well what do you want me to do?” Umm let’s see, maybe learn how to read a piece of paper and get the order right. I will never step foot in there and definitely would never order delivery again. I will make sure to let all my friends know how rude the Moe’s in...
Read moreI have a bit of a love-hate relationship with this place. If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would--but since that's not an option, here's why.
On a good day, this spot really shines. The portions are generous, and the free extras--especially the unlimited sauces--can genuinely lift your mood. The new carnitas are actually pretty good, and while the free chips aren't great, I'll never say no to them.
The seating is almost always available, which is convenient--but that's probably because it's rarely busy. The downside is that the overall vibe can feel a little lifeless. The staff often seem tired or disengaged, which takes away from the energy the place used to have. I used to be mildly annoyed when they'd yell "Welcome to Moe's!"--but now I kind of miss it.
Overall, it's not a bad spot. When they're on, it's solid. my advice is to avoid the meats that are about to get swapped out and go...
