I placed an online order and went to the store to pick up my order on 4/4/25 in the evening. I’d like to say that the two women who were working that night went out of their way to not service a paying customer (me) or not even make eye contact with me based on the color of my skin. A young Caucasian man who entered the store after me was greeted before me and serviced and once he left, the two employees made no effort to service me. One of the employees who was a younger caucasian woman, avoided eye contact, went to the back of the store, returned to the front, and decided to start making a pizza instead of tending to a customer (me) who was present. It’s prejudice and unacceptable to people who are not Caucasian. I shouldnt have to say that I’m a black man and did not receive acceptable service based on how the employees perceived me. I was not acknowledged and I was forced to break the silence and grab my own pizzas because they never acknowledged my presence or cared to service me so I want to say that if you’re the Papa Murphys employees who Were working in Edwardsville, IL on the evening of 4/4/25, it was racism. You decided to judge me based on the color of my skin and it’s unacceptable. I hope that someone from Papa Murphys company sees this and takes...
Read moreDisappointing and Unexpected Changes I visited the Edwardsville, IL Papa Murphy’s to pick up my usual 10/12 dollar Tuesday pizza. It was 10:35 a.m. This is normally a straightforward visit that I have done for years. Today was different. After my prospective pizza was rung up, the lady preparing the pizzas announced to me “There are five pizzas ahead of you; you’ll have to wait.” This was a first but I normally do not mind waiting for a quality product, but I would still have liked to have known ahead of time where I was in the pizza assembly line. As I stood and watched a pizza being prepared, I saw for the first time a pizza crust being taken out of its cellophane already prepped with tomato paste and cheese. The cheese did not look fresh at all and I was not sure if the tomato paste had soaked into the crust or not. Unfortunately, none of what I saw looked appealing and I asked to cancel my order and receive a refund. Both of which were successful. From Edwardsville I drove 17 miles to the Papa Murphy‘s location in O’Fallon, IL. Perhaps I wasted time and gas but I was able to get a totally freshly made pizza...
Read moreI've been in a few times since the shelter in place order was given to try to spend some money at a local business. Only one employee has been wearing a mask that I have seen. Many customers have come in without masks and have not been respecting any sort of distance from others. I even saw someone lean around the glass to talk to the cashier and no one said anything. I just feel like a few simple guidelines could really help keep people safe since they are...
