Stubborn Poke N Chips — Restaurant in El Cajon

The best poke in a mall food court! Actually the best non-Hawaiian pokey style based on their sauces and many options. It’s like you get double chances in step 4 and 6 to get it moist and flavorful. The protein is marinated not like other places where it’s just a squirt on top. You can’t go wrong with any of the endless sauces and adding crunchies at the end. The portions are also huge!

I got one scoop and my fiancé got two scoops but with all the toppings, my bowl was actually a lot more. I also got 3 sauces and they all mixed well.

They also have wings, poutine and fries. We got the wings with waffle fries. We got half honey garlic soy and half stubborn buffalo. The wings were small, great sauces, it’s just that it didn’t taste fresh and tasted previously frozen.

5/5 for the pokey. They have a massive menu. Did you know that they also have udon? Curry chowder? Bulgogi cheeseburger? And...

The food was good however the service here from the ladies at the counter is absolutely horrendous. At Parkway mall my husband went up to the counter with my stepson to order him some food. The young girl working there with the 12 ft long eyelashes rolled her eyes, had an ugly, condescending tone when speaking with my husband and stepson, never smiled at all, and also gave me attitude when I went back up to ask for ketchup for his chicken tenders. Randomly while we were eating, a lady walked up to us and asked us where we got the chicken tenders. We told her at Stubborn Poke & Chips but we warned her about the young girl at the counter (who clearly did not want to be there). The lady said ,"Oh yeah she is not good. The guy that works there is much nicer!" So, this makes me see that we are not the only ones who encountered this girl's awful service. I hope something is done...

This location is in a mall so there is a big parking area with a big sitting area!

This place is amazing!!! My husband and I both ordered a small bowl and it was more then enough for us! The staff gave us a good amount of protein even just a small bowl! ( the difference size of the bowl is the scoop of protein)

One thing I loved the most about this place is that you can get as many topping and side as you wanted!!! Usually poke place tells you that you can only get 2 or 3 toppings and you will have to pay extra for more but this place is so generous!

There was a great selection on their menu, they even have their own special flavor of soda!!

There is only one suggestion for this place is to improve their sanitation, I will give them five stars if they have their employees wear a mask, I just think it is better especially when you are...
