My wife and i went for dinner and should have know we were in for disappointment when we noticed hostess were more concern to finish their conversation than acknowledging or seating us. I had to interrupt their conversation so we can get seated. After twenty minutes of waiting for a server to take our order or acknowledge us, I stood up and informed the assistant manager about my situation and asked him if he can help us. He then went over to the hostes booth to try to confirm my story instead of taking our order and apologizing. At that time we decided to leave. On our way out of the restaurant we came across the manager and informed him about the situation and not until then is when both assistant manager and manager apologize and asked us to be seated so they can take our order. Talk about lack of attention to the customers by these two managers. In the twenty minutes that we were seated we observed the two managers chatting it up with the servers but never comiing around to the tables to make sure everything was ok . If they would have done this minimal managerial task they would have found out we had not been taken care of. The restaurant is not that big and with two managers on duty they could have engaged all the tables in less than five minutes. I'm am all for the managers to boost moral and pump up their employees but having a table wait 20+ minutes and never got acknowledge is such a small establishment is unexectable. Also very unprofessional for the chunky assistant manager trying to plea his case to the manager when we were informing him of the situation stating that "he apologized but we still decided to leave so oh well " because he did not he went directly to the hottest table ask8ng them what time they had signed us up and also found out at that time that we were never signed in. So when coming to this establishment please make sure to make your self know by bothering the staff if not you will never receive the attention a...
Read moreI was excited when I came, the appetizer was good, I got the deep fried softshell crab. For my main, I got the sushi set, 8 sashimi and 8 nigiri. That where the problems occured. Another person at the table got a roll. When the sushi was brought out, it was all on one plate. I expected to get my sushi that I ordered on one plate and the other person to get their sushi roll on there own plate. Because of this there was cross contamination with our sushi. I did not eat two of my nigiri because the sauce from roll was on those pieces. For the actual quality of the nigiri, the rice was very dense, making me think the rice was overly seasoned, or rice pieces were pre-formed and extra moister was added to keep the shape, making the rice extra dense. When it came to the sashimi part, all was good except the octopus. It seemed like the octopus was pre-cut and frozen, octopus shouldn't have a watery flimsy texture, octopus is supposed to be firm and a little chewy, when you freeze octopus, the moisture crystalizes and when it thaws, it completely changed the texture of the octopus. I think the server can see in my face that I was disappointed with the way the sushi presented. I didn't want to make a fuss, but this review makes it easier to explain everything. I know people may think a little bit of sauce won't ruin the sushi, but it ruined it for me, so I didn't eat the pieces that mixed with the sauce from the roll. I spent the most at my table and still got the worst experience. It wasn't bad, I just stopped smiling when I saw the cross contamination, showing me that the sushi chefs didn't care if it was two separate orders, they just saw it was on the same table and wanted to...
Read moreThis place leaves much to be desired. I have been to Sunny's on Montana plenty of times. This particular restaurant is on Viscount. We place our order and the waitress confirms it. After that, the waitress was pretty much non existent So we get the food late, our order is not complete, and we get food we did not order. When we speak with the manager, all he can say is he talked with the staff. We didn't get an apology or an explanation. The mananger walked away as we were speaking . There's no accountability. It's not the staff's fault. It starts with the leadership or lack there of. As a manager, its your responsibility to train and guide your employees. Your employees are a direct reflection of you. So when you can't take responsibility for your employees poor performance then you have failed as a leader. So when it comes time to pay I give them my debit card. The waitress comes back saying their computer system went down so they resorted to doing it the old fashioned way. I get those old credit card receipts. Except it's blank. I see my debit card number on there but there's no total. So I asked the waitress how am I supposed to know what the total is. So she replies... Oh let me get the receipt. In my mind I'm thinking yes that would be good. What I find strange and somewhat funny is the waitress pointed out (twice) where the tip should be included. She says and this is where the tip goes! I have had terrible service before but I always leave a tip. I could not and did not leave a tip this time. This place is so...
