So food was fine, service was a little lacking because, at one point some asian customers that ordered before me spilled their drink on the table and the floor. Well there were no napkins on the table because of the pandemic I assume. So I tell the guy handling the register can we get some napkins because the customer spilled his drink. I had my mask on, so I dont think he totally heard me so i repeated it so he did, and he gave us 3 or 4 napkins, not enough to clean up the mess. So i took matters into my own hands and went to the restroom to get some paper towels, but there was a code on there, so I got the code, and went in and got some paper towels to clean up the floor, which helped but it was not that busy, and it made it seem like the guy didn't totally want to be bothered, or he was soooo busy that he couldnt take the moment to address the situation, or they were so short staffed that he couldnt ask for help from one of his team members, or his manager. Yes he gave us some napkins, but all he had to do was look 20 feet in the direction of the customer and see that there was a spill, and notice that 3 or 4 napkins wasnt going to do it, and give us a towell or bring a mop. Sure if I would spilled it I would have cleaned it up, it's my responsibility. However, it seems like our friends were from another country, and with there being no access to napkins it made it seem harder than it had to be. She eventually got the code and got some more napkins, but I was disappointed but not surprised by the millenials "meh" half engagement of the situation. He did get them another cup, but that didn't totally solve their problem. And I didnt see a drive through, because that's what i was going to use, and there was just the asian customers and me. So it didnt seem like he had a lot of orders waiting. And last thing that urks me is the codes on the restrooms, L.A. companies seem to do this because they dont walk in their authority of refusing vagrants to enter, whereas if they just stood in their authority, or had a manager who had some balls, they wouldnt have that problem, so instead you lock the bathroom, and i need to use it but have to wait till they are done with the...

One thing every Carl's Jr. visitor should know is that their COUPONS DO NOT EXPIRE on the stated expiration date! As long as that coupon code is still in their system, it will be honored for months. This was the case even before COVID-19, and now, some of their restaurants, including this one, will return your coupon so you can use it again.

The Carl's Jr. in El Segundo has an Amazon locker now (for locals who are interested in not having packages left outside their dwellings to be stolen).

The only disadvantage to this store is that it doesn't have a regular drive-thru. (Way back when, the City of El Segundo didn't like fast-food restaurants. In the last couple years, though, they've allowed two other fast-food places with drive-thru lanes.). What they've done here at this Carl's Jr. during COVID-19 is to open a sort-of drive through that begins at lunch, and you can also call ahead or on-site to order & they will bring the food to your car. Unfortunately, Carl's Jr. does not have a mobile app.

For non-meat eaters, Carl's Jr. offers Beyond Beef burgers (which are too expensive for me at $2 more per burger). My favorite vegetarian snack at Carl's Jr. is the fried zucchini, which I get for a super-serious discount at $1.29 with a coupon.
