10/9/18 someone reached out to me to apologize privately. I asked that they provide me with the manager's name so that they could do it properly in person since their staff had no problem humiliating me publicly. That request was not honored. Then, they send me a card to get a free drink WITH PURCHASE and a card to get some basic sandwich at a location different from the one where I was scrutinized. Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere.
Always speak with the adult in the room if possible!
I have been to this location on two occasions. On both occasions, the older lady that was present stepped in to make sure I got the service that was expected. This last time, she had to intervene again because the staff was not listening.
I specifically ordered the big kahuna because it comes with extra cheese. I asked that they hold the onions, pepper and jalapenos (because I have digestive issues, but I didn't disclose that because it's really none of their business). It's about $0.50 than the regular cheese steak.
When I got to the counter to pay, the person making my sandwich instructed the cashier to ring up a cheese steak with extra cheese. I quickly corrected him. I ordered a big kahuna. Omitting the vegetables isn't reason enough to try to charge me $4 more for extra cheese, especially when the sandwich I ordered already came with it.
I've ordered my sandwich like this before and had no problems. So, why do they think they have the right to charge me extra?! Then, they proceeded to argue with ME about it until the adult on shift stepped in. How hard is it to listen? What gives them the right to argue with me about my sandwich order?!
You don't get to change my order in an effort to charge me more! I'm not sure what it is about establishments in El Segundo, but I will not be bullied around by those meant to provide great customer service to all. If I could give them no stars, I would. I still wound up with peppers in my dang sandwich!
There's another one close by on Century Blvd. I would suggest you go there so you don't get berated about your order!

Read moreDropped in today for my usual sub from this place . I notice a different staff and unfortunately I'm going to have to say the quality service dropped from high standards it once held . The young lady who took my order had a demanding tone without a friendly face. After I told her I wanted a giant 9 on the grill she repeated my order to me and completely ignored it . She then placed the wrong order size on the grill . After bringing up the error to the young man up next to assist me he then placed the other half of my order on the grill . After my subs were ready he asked how did I want it. I told him Mike's way with no tomato. He then proceeded to talk and laugh with his coworkers and then placed tomatoes on my sub . After addressing him 3 times he finally stopped joking with his Coworkers, apologized and corrected it . The amount of time in line increased a noticeable amount as well. Read moreI recently, & I mean as in last week discovered Jersey Mike's. So I was pretty happy I found this location while I was looking for a lunch place during my work day yesterday. The food looked and tasted great! That rosemary n Parmagan bread was really good too! Overall the service was fast & friendly.
I did have a little issue with my order when it came time to have my "fixins" added to my sandwich. (remember, I'm new to this place) She asked me if I "wanted it Mike's way" and unfortunately I didn't hear her correctly and thought she asked if I wanted it "microwaved", I thought hmm to maybe warm up the bacon or melt the cheese or such, and I'm like sure! The she starts putting all these toppings I dont typically want. And when I asked what she was doing she was pretty confused at my confusion... But, after my slight embarrassment at misunderstanding she was understanding and had my order done...
