If I could give zero stars I would have. The place was a complete wreck! The overwhelming smell of some kind of perfumed spray to mask whatever they are trying to cover up was so strong my eyes starting burning. The isles were so narrow that two people could not not possibly fit. I probably wouldn’t have bothered to even write a review but the over crowding did not just extend to the isles. This place was so over crowded with racks and shelving displays that my husband and I had a hard time just walking without knocking something over or into another person. I have worked in retail a long time and this was the worst I have ever seen or smelled. I am concerned that this could also be a potential fire hazard. There is literally one very small narrow lane going in and out of the store and if there is someone checking out or a line to check out then you’re stuck. Period. We could not even squeeze through to get out and had to wait in a line of people waiting to check out even through we were not purchasing anything because there is no other way out and it was too pack and over crowded to squeeze by the people in line waiting to check out themselves. Worse, there wasn’t a cashier at the register. This place needs to be shut down, it’s not...
Read moreMy husband took our 4 teen girls to get henna tattoos. The young lady did not draw them well at all. When my husband complained and had the girls wipe the “art” off, he tried to speak to the manager. She was quite defensive and RUDE to my entire family. She accused them of “just trying to get free henna.” Each was such poor quality that they wiped it off while still in the store. I can assure this manager that as a doctor, I can afford to pay for what my girls want. I didn’t need her charity but I will not pay for subpar work. The artist had my girls draw the waves they wanted and she STILL did not draw it correctly. My kids should not have to show her how to do her job. We rent a house on Emerald Isle every year and bring multiple friends with us. We will never step foot in Colors again. I encourage anyone who likes to spend their hard earned money in a place that appreciates their business, DO NOT GO TO COLORS. If you are looking for henna, go see Justin at Pacific. You will get better quality work and a much...
Read moreThe Emily that we encounter was VERY helpful, kind & considerate so I'm not sure if the other reviews are about the same (Emilly.?). The store is a little bit tight between isles, but it beats the heck out of being disrespected & yelled at by the guy (manager.?) at Pacific on Loon Street! They were SO Rude there & a lot of our clothing was not centered & printed incorrectly, with the images & writing missing completely in areas. They didn't hold up in the wash either, but items purchased here did very well so it was an issue of incompetence of the "Professional" who refused to take any direction, without getting offended, at the...
