As I work in Cherry Creek on Friday, I am always on the lookout for a good place to grab a quick bite for lunch. As luck would have it, my lunch time dilemma was solved when I came across Pizzability, 250 Steele Street in Cherry Creek North. Founded by a former Special Education Teacher, Tiffany, saw a need to provide those with developmental disabilities an opportunity showcase their talents and offer them a place where they could experience the independence and self satisfaction that working can bring to the table. They offer a varied menu that includes some of the best Pizza I have ever tasted, thick crust and they were very generous with the toppings. I might also add that the Gelato is --- delicious! The service was fast, friendly and Tiffany was working behind the counter along with her staff, which impressed me, as she is very genuine in her approach to ensuring that those in her employ are treated with kindness and the deference they deserve. I believe the word I would use would be -- compassion, and she makes sure that not only the customer, but her employees are given a generous helping of both. So if it's Pizza you're craving for lunch, Pizzability on Steele Street in Cherry Creek North is just the venue to satisfy your cravings. Eh...be sure to save some room for the Gelato. And then a nap. Yes. The food is that good....
Read moreI had an opportunity to pop into Pizzability finally and I was not disappointed! I had heard about the place online and loved the concept that they hire all abilities - sidenote: WE NEED MORE PLACES LIKE THIS.
Tucked into the lower level of a multi business complex, Pizzability is a lovely spot complete whimsical decor that is very thoughtful (and that includes the bathrooms)
The menu is simple but what else do you need beside pizza, salads, gelato, beer and wine? The pizza is definitely new york style and i'm more of a super thin & crispy crust kinda girl but I loved the flavor. We had a slice of pepperoni and also the hawaiian (loved the ham on it), the salad was well put together with great toppings (shaved parmesan was a great touch)
The owner Tiffany has put together an amazing place and she and the staff doing a great job of serving up great pizza in great fashion.
I'm looking forward to coming back and supporting this amazing business.
Bonus - free parking behind the building - Cherry Creek can get crazy sometimes so this is...
Read moreGiven the restaurant's story, I was really looking forward to trying it out. I placed a delivery order through Slice, which they reccomend on their Facebook page, but it never came.
After an hour of the pizza being "in the kitchen", it was quickly changed to being out for delivery and then delivered. It was not outside my door and I was not contacted to let them in my apartment building.
I contacted Slice and they couldn't get ahold of the restaurant. So they gave me a refund and then I ordered from another resturant.
Maybe their in store service is better, but I will never order delivery from them again.
UPDATE: Increasing rating to 3 stars after actually getting to try their Hawaiin pizza. It was ok, but was kind of bland. I don't think it's worth the price and will order from another nearby pizza resturant that offers more flavor...
