Tokyo Joe's - Englewood — Restaurant in Englewood

Terribly slow and dirty. My wife and I have come here probably 6 times over the past year and with each visit service seems to get a little worse and this last visit was the worst yet. We only go back because enough time lapses that we forget about why we were displeased with this location from our last visit.

This past visit: While walking in we both notices that the outside tables hadn't been cleared/cleaned and some birds were feasting on the leftovers. The young lady who took our order was nice and personable and that seems to be par for the course at this location. Which is good Everyone seems really friendly. However, being nice doesn't excuse slow service coupled with a messy restaurant. For fast food it took forever (20 minutes) for us to get our order and there was no offer of explanation of the delay or apology for the delay when we finally did receive our order. There were 4 service workers standing behind the counter talking to each other waiting for the food to be cooked but meanwhile out in the seating area there were tables that needed to be bused and the drink station needed dealing with. The workers just stayed behind the counter chatting amongst themselves. I'm not sure how many tables they have there but I counted 9 that hadn't been cleaned (including the 2 outside). Perhaps I just caught them during their changing of the guard but one would think that the more workers you have the quicker things would be.

Oh and one of the 2 young ladies working a register at the time was talking to the other register worker while my wife and I were ordering talking about how she needed to go home to take a shower because she was dirty andstunk. Not exactly what you want to hear from someone who would be...

They got nothing right. Asked for sauce in my bowl and extra on the side and they put none on the bowl and this tiny little portion in a cup. Only had 2 out of the 6 toppings I ordered .Got some pot stickers and that sauce cup was huge in size, covering the pot stickers, which were flat as a pancake when I got home. I doubt it there was even meat in them they were so flat and all glued together.That big cup of dipping sauce that squished my dumplings contained barely enough dipping sauce to use on one pot sticker let alone six of them. My entree was free because I had points and the pot stickers were free from a scratch ticket promo they'd had. Yes, I looked in the bag to make sure my bowl and the app were both in there. Did I totally unpack it all and take the lids off? No. Do you do that? It may have been free but it was a sorry waste of my addict club points and the scratch ticket. Oh, I live in the foothills and got this on my way back home after being in town. It's not conducive for me to drive 40 minutes to get back down to this Tokyo Joe's and have them make it right. And why should I have to do it anyway? My time and the gas i would use to right their wrong? They should be capable of making an order correctly and packing it correctly. But apparently they aren't and therefore here I sit hungry with ruined potstickers and a bowl of dry white rice with some tuna and edamame on it. I even tipped them. Stupid me. I would advise not going to this location and if you do unpack your whole meal from the sack and take the lids off and check inside first...

Went in last night with my family 2+ hours before closing at around 6 PM. As soon as we walked in we received very dirty looks from all the staff members.

One of my family members chose the "build your own poke" menu option and was very rudely told by the cashier that he could only do 3 toppings total. Family member then nicely asked if he could do the 3 included toppings and add avocado (which is an extra charge, no problem with that we wanted to pay for it) and was still told no he could still only do 3 toppings regardless of the up-charge by the very rude cashier, which made zero sense.

We decided to dine in and the same cashier brought our food. One of our orders was messed up due to the cashier mishearing and when we mentioned that we asked for something different he gave us a lot attitude, rolled his eyes and in a very raised voice told us that we would have to "get up and pay for it if we wanted it".

The food was extremely bland, cold, and the portions were VERY small. For the price tag of $14 - $20 per meal the servings should be adult sized, not the portion of a kids meal. I ordered one of the pre-created bowls on the menu and was given maybe half of a palm size worth of chicken and the entire bowl was mainly rice.

Overall -10000000/10 experience, worst food I've ever eaten and the staff really needs to work on their customer service. We wasted over $100 to be basically yelled at over mediocre food. Do not eat here! There are better restaurants all over...
