Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Escondido

I have been fed up with pizza unworthy of my hard earned money for far too long. I don’t like burnt crust or when a pizzeria is stingy on the toppings. I found coupons for a new pizza shop on Mission Avenue in Escondido and thought, “Why not?”

I called Marcos and after some discussion decided to get the Deluxe, which is your pizza with everything on it. We added black olives. The owner offered, “We have a buy one, get one free offer.” I was sold! He said they have green olives too, and I told him those are for martinis. We had a shared laugh.

I mentioned to the owner about my recent disappointment at Domino’s, and he said, “Well I hope you enjoy our pizza.” Oh my goodness the pizza crust was perfect. I mean perfect! Thick and delicious. The toppings were plenty. There were so many toppings that the pizza was heavy in my hand. Fresh, crisp veggies, an inviting sauce that was not overwhelming in strong spices, and let me tell you, their Italian sausage was mmm mmm good. Good bye Domino’s. So long Round Table. Oh...

Place still has yet to open. EDIT: Marco's Pizza In Escondido is now open!

Everyone writing one star reviews are people who arent giving Marco a chance and are impatient.

I understand the confusion in why people think it is open and I myself have been wondering when we will get the chance to try out Marco's Pizza.

My wife visited this store yesterday and she met with the owner. She told me that they were very nice, they have a nice vibe and they are opening soon.

This is good news for me as I've been waiting since payless went out of business in the same spot. So I was excited when I heard the news!

The Owner also gave my wife coupons so I have them ready when they open. This is called good service before the restuant even opens. I find it very welcoming receiving these coupons and getting to know the new restuant on the block.

Good People, Great Atmosphere, Amazing...

This review is based on service alone: you can no longer place delivery orders over the phone. Why this is bad: I live in Escondido, but when I try to order delivery online I am outside of the delivery area, which is weird, as I live down the street from this location off mission. So the delivery location is a small radius and their delivery company is door dash, so what's the problem? Well not an issue here anymore as I will be ordering from dominos from now on, as I never have any issues ordering online or over the phone. I was a big customer here, I ordered delivery all the time, but apparently starting April 1st that's no longer ok to do. No worries, dominos is a ton better and if you really want something a bit more authentic, order yourself some 2 guys from Italy...
