Picked up my Ham on Christmas Eve day, Escondido location. Disappointed with the whole pre order process. Upon arrival I was told they had no more small ones and I would have to take a large one that was $60. I explained I had PRE ORDERED so I was expecting what I ordered. Otherwise what is the purpose of pre ordering?? I have been getting a ham every year and usually spend about $35. This was the first year I pre ordered. I am on Social Security so budget is important to me. Having to spend an extra $20 was not in my budget and customer service is not high on the store policy apparently. Very disappointed in the whole pre order process and the lack of concern by employees there. The response to why I didnt get a small one as I pre ordered.."we have to rotate our stock..you should have came sooner". I picked it up after work, about 1:30..that is why I Pre Ordered! I agree the ham is very good, no argument there. So..Honey Baked Ham has probably lost me as a customer over the whole pre order process. I expect better...
Read moreVery disappointed today when I picked up my order. I pre-ordered a ham, turkey breast, and 3 sides. I arrived at 9 am only to find that they only had cheesy potatoes and stuffing left. I found it hard to believe that they'd be out of everything so early when they still had 7 hours to go in the day. I talked to a manager and was told they they had a lot of people yesterday so they didn't have food for today. Which is even more frustrating because I figure that's the whole reason for making a reservation in the first place. Not to mention it makes me question the freshness of the sides if the determining factor was I needed good left over from the day prior. I was also told that they do have "three" sides. I would have to double up on one of the two sides they had. So I ended up with 5 lbs of ham and 10 lbs of cheesy potatoes. Not very happy with my experience. Not sure I'd use them again. If so I might just order online...
Read moreI'm a Honey-Baked Ham customer from Chicago, who moved to San Diego less than 4 years ago. I picked up a half ham a couple years ago for a Holiday, but it seemed so far away. Now that I'm used to locations I saw the store again and popped for sandwiches and then again. Most recently, I had the pleasure of being helped by Maribel and Ismael, both very professional. I was greeted warmly as soon as I walked in the door and there we're other customers, so I expected to wait my turn. The two of them worked so proficiently together, so no customer felt neglected. Ismael was taking orders and answering general questions, while Maribel was beginning to prepare our orders. I felt so comfortable and was at ease making conversation with the other customers.
