Once and never again! Great way to ruin a Father's Day dinner. First we were sat outside without being asked, at a table in complete sun. All other tables outside had some shade and were open. At this point we should have left but giving them the benefit of the doubt, we asked to be moved inside. For reference, we were sat in the bar area at the table next to the door for the outside patio, so in clear and constant view of staff. After getting our drinks and food (which took over 30 minutes at least), we were completely forgetten about. No one ever came to check on us or refill our drinks. My daughter had a request but she gave up after realizing no one was ever coming back. When I finally had enough and lost my appetite, I watched for an additional 10 minutes while staff just walked by us. Some would look at our table but none ever came over. We had empty glasses and a few empty plates that no one bothered to pick up. I finally had enough when the girl getting all the tables their chips and salsa started clearing plates from other tables but not ours. When I asked for a manager, the staff member that went to get them ended up coming back to address our issue herself. Even the manager could have cared less about us! I didnt want a compensated meal, I wanted service! Ill just stick to my regular places from now on El Kora on Green Acres, Los Portillos near Costco, and Los Dos Amigos Hacienda off Goodpasteur Island. Thanks for letting me know where not to have...
Read moreI wanted to try Chula’s because of all the great reviews. Everyone said they have great food, great service and felt welcomed. Those are my 3 main reasons to return to a restaurant. I can have 2 of the 3 be bad in one trip and continue to go back. My first visit to Chula was today. I ordered from door dash for pick up. I went to pick it up at the time stated by dd and when I got there it was like I didn’t exist. Someone walked in after I did and they were greeted before I was. I mentioned that I was there for pickup and was there first and the lady was very rude to me. I told her my name and she grabbed my food and said it was about time I showed up and rudely handed it to me. Whatever people have bad days. I got back to work and started to eat my food. It smelt so good and I was excited until I took a bit. I ordered a wet asada burrito. Everywhere I have had an asada burrito it has been chopped meat or strips. This was shredded beef. The meat was burnt and hard in spots. The rice tasted very old and almost reused. Over all it was not good. I took a second bite with more sauce on it and the sauce was very good, but the insides were so bad I couldn’t eat the burrito. It was a very disappointing experience and it is sad to say I will not...
