It's like a patio party on West Broadway as the summer sun is setting. There is laughter and chatter and it's a spot of warm hospitality. We came in looking for some great cocktails and we happily had more to choose from than we knew what to do with. We each had two, me starting with Past Lives because the drink married my love of grapefruit with a nod to my Korean heritage via the gochujang rice wine syrup that blended seamlessly into the beautiful cocktail. My other cocktail -- Under the Cherry Moon -- did a fantastic thing with a cherry blossom brandy and cherry shrub. They pressed into each other and created an incredible harmony of balance that was gorgeous to taste. Mackenzie had a cocktail named Ur Favorite Ex which was spirit forward, as any drink celebrating a favorite ex should be, and Jungle Boogie which which involved a clarified milk syrup that truly turned the drink into a unique comfort cocktail. We had the honor of meeting the drink designer, Hannah (her name is a palindrome). Let me start backwards and say the Basque cheesecake was lighter than Basque cheesecakes I've had in the past, but deliciously so. The strawberries and provided a refreshing structure to the creaminess. It was the right way to end a cocktail and small dish adventure. We started with half a dozen oysters: the Aphrodite which I had never had before and was so creamy I thought they were very Kumamoto-esque. The Hammerly were good, a many thanks to the owner who let us know which oysters were his preferred. We appreciate appreciated the solid guidance. We ordered the collard greens because I love pot likkur, the beans because we were told they were an homage to New Orleans beans, and the corn bread because it was skillet made with all cornmeal that without any filler flour. The salted butter that came with the cornbread was slathered on with sass by Mac who was quoting Mean Girls in the process -- kids these days. But when he discovered that the cornbread paired very well with the creamy butter beans, I forgave him. I think my favorite was the Lardo wrapped strawberries. Surprisingly refreshing because the strawberries were singing their song with such sweet freshness...they were irresistible sirens. We might've ordered them again if we didn't have so much on our plate already. Proof that I am a good friend: I let Mac have the third of the three berries that comprised a serving. One more thing: there are moments of beauty throughout the whole space. If you look...the trumpet mushrooms growing nestled in in the company of string of pearls succulents, and don't miss the nostalgic wall of vintage looking photos of some of the greats including the who is this who is Galloping Gourmet, Julia Childs, of course Saint Bourdain, and even a shot of the owners. There's a great event back space to host parties or perhaps a great wine tasting. We used the parking lot in the back because Main Street parking is difficult. Looking forward to coming back often to try the other cocktails…

Party Bar is an unexpected oasis in an otherwise grungy (not in a bad way) downtown area. With a name like Party Bar, and being nestled amongst Lazars, Killer Burger, and the bar scene, it was a surprise to walk in to the peaceful but hip atmosphere. The vibes were really nice. The staff was great, the food was great, and the menu, for both food and beverages was quite impressive. I forgot to take a picture of the burger, but it literally melts in your mouth. The chicken slider and the nachjos were also very good. This is a great place to enjoy a nice dinner. The music is not too loud, the tables are not too close together, and for about $40 each, including adult beverages, it feels like a pretty good price to me for the quality and the atmosphere.

Love this place! Comparable to The vintage. It has an extensive wine list, which is what really sold me! Their Zinfandel by the bottle is fantastic. Their food is delicious. The mac and cheese was the best mac and cheese I've had in awhile. The portions are small for the appetizers but they are decently priced. Their veggie burger is a mushroom bean patty that is absolutely delicious (although you do get charged extra for cheese, avocado, bacon, etc). Their cocktails are fun and change with the seasons. They have outdoor seating with a heat lamp for the cold weather. I would skip the carrots though and just get extra mac and cheese because like I said it's sooooo good.

I had a terrible experience at Party Bar for my birthday. My husband and I arrived with plenty of time to close and were seated outside. Another couple got there shortly after we did and were seated nearby. We placed our order and they placed theirs after us. I was really looking forward to trying the Mac and cheese and the fried chicken since I'm from the south and had heard great things about Party Bar. About 30 minutes pass and the table next to us gets their food (which just so happens to be what I ordered). I don't mind. We're not in a hurry and I'm not an impatient person. Another 15 minutes passes. My husband gets his food, and I still have none. The manager is outside talking to the table next to us and has not said a word to us. We politely mentioned that my food has not been delivered. He continues to talk to the table next to us and finally goes to the back. He comes back (at this point it has been over an hour) and tells us that they're out of what I ordered, and suggests I eat the baked beans instead. At this point, I'm so hungry I don't care what they bring me. After an hour and a half of waiting, I'm finally delivered my baked beans, which were nothing to write home about. The manager was completely unapologetic and rude and all of this on my birthday at that. I left feeling undervalued, unappreciated, and hungry. My husband and I love to travel and eat out and this is was one of the worst dining experiences we've had. I would not go back and I do...

I want to like this place. Stopped in on Valentine’s Day to get some drinks and snacks. The lady bartender who was helping me and my boyfriend was pretty nice, seems like the staff was forgetting orders though because it’s busy, I get it. But the man sitting next to us at the bar had an issue as he was getting ready to leave, he flagged down the bartender helping him (let’s call him man-bun, cuz he had a man bun) anyways the guy at the bar told man bun that his bill was wrong because there was a drink on there that he didn’t get. Man bun proceeds to argue with the dude for about 10 minutes and then talks to the bar tender that originally took his order. Man bun comes back to the dude and says “look you ordered the drink so that’s why it’s on the bill” and the guy says “I know but you never made it for me so that’s why you need to take it off”, and man bun gets all annoyed and said “well look! Next time you need to let us know RIGHT AWAY if something like that happens, ok?!”. This is just off putting to me, man bun did not apologize and made it sound like it was the guys fault for not getting the drink he ordered. If I come back I’ll be avoiding talking to that bar tender, I just really didn’t like...
