Starlight Lounge — Restaurant in Eugene

We absolutely love the amenities itself since we went there to rent out the billiards/ darts room which we had an absolute blast! But the bartender kind of ruined our first experience there.. when we first got there we let them know that we had a reservation and got that all set up, but when it came to order our drinks we stated it was our first time here is there some type of cocktail menu he instantly said no kind of a rude tone (which he has throughout the whole entire interaction with us) so I tried asking for suggestions like what would be a good lemonade drink and he says “just order a lemonade vodka” so we just went with that since we don’t drink very often and went to our room it’s not like the bar was busy since we were the only ones in there. When we were done we were trying to return the supplies stood there for about 10 minutes and finally, it was our turn. It wasn’t too busy like a small group before 4-5 people before us so he grabs it from us and we try handing our card to pay for the pool and he proceeds to say oh my God underneath his breath, hands back the card and ID and says “here” still in a rude tone.. I don’t know maybe he just didn’t want to be there. Or was just generally having a bad day, but it did kinda ruin our experience because we did want to order more drinks but didn’t really want to deal with him, especially after leaving...

Their customer service deserves 3 stars but I gave them 2 stars for being some of the most irresponsible bartenders I have ever seen. Like I'm a bartender and manager myself and I would've fired them for having such careless alcohol serving standards. Me and my husband's bachelor/Bachelorette parties met up at this bar after our dinners and we had a lot more planned for the night but the bartenders who were working Saturday night way over served my group. I asked them repeatedly to cut off certain people from our group and they were so money hungry that they were sneaking shots to those people who then later passed out in front of their establishment and all they did was laugh and complain about the lack of tips. They even let some other drunken lady try to steal money out of my friends purse RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM so that she can give them whatever my friend had on her. Starlight, you could say a lot about this place.

Inside: There's two main areas to sit, not including the bar. On the left (once you walk in the door) there are regular chairs and tables. Great for wanting to be able sit in a group or look at your date while you talk and drink. On the right are about 5 couches. Nice fake black leather. They're soft and you can sink right into them. Wonderful if you want to relax while watching the game (on the nicely placed big screen) or cuddle with your significant other.

Outside: there's plenty of places to sit. You're able to smoke and enjoy the night sky. The only real downside is that most of the outdoor area isn't covered and oregon rains, a lot.

I'm general, the staff makes good drinks, including some that most other bars don't. The only downside is that their drinks aren't as strong as the other bars and they more often than not use...
