My daughter and I chose this restaurant based on the reviews. We came in and nobody was paying attention to seating. There had been a guy standing there ahead of us and the staff was standing around not paying attention to seating him. We decided to sit at the bar. Bartender was unfriendly from the get go. They weren't busy at all (only two tables filled) when he acknowledged us, it was are you eating or drinking or both? Not, hey how you doing? I ordered wine and my daughter ordered a cocktail and specifically asked for salted rim. It was served with tajin. She had to get his attention to replace the drink. He did it but didn't acknowledge that he just didn't listen. She ordered the lobster bisque. The menu says ask for the soup of the day and I did because soup sounded good but I don't do lobster bisque. He curtly said lobster bisque. It was delivered cold and coagulated. She asked for them to please warm it up. He took it and apparently they stuck a thermometer in it and he said it was 120 degrees so it was warm and not cold. Did she still want it heated up? At $14 a bowl, I believe the customer should not be questioned. Google said thick soup should be served something like 190-220 degrees. They did warm it and he said it was 220. It actually had steam coming off it and the lumps and clumps were stirred up properly when he served it. She thought it was decent. She ordered a burger and I ordered the mahi mahi sandwich. Both were good and the fries were hot. So that part was pleasant. My daughter had two of the cocktails plus the soup and entree. Her bill alone was over $80. There are a lot of cute places in town that probably offer great food and drinks. If we loved it, we might return tomorrow. But that's not happening. My daughter served tables through college and she is very aware of the vibe they were putting off at having to correct their mistake. She was being as nice as she could be to hopefully keep them from doing something in the kitchen to her food. Customer service is key. I believe that this review can be used as an opportunity to re-train on friendliness and...

We were a party of six and we all had to sit at the bar that didn’t have a lot of room for plates at the ends because it was taken up by demo drinks and menu baskets and they wouldn’t accommodate us any other way so the Maid of Honor sat across the bar. Secondly, the bartender was way too comfortable talking crap about the restaurant like how they couldn’t make it without her, the ageism when it came to the way they handle the register till, and kept saying there was a “catastrophe”. When I asked what happened because I thought maybe there was another big headline she said it had something to do with the restaurant but she was even bold enough to mention the Kirk assassination and indirectly hinted her opinion on it. It’s brunch. No matter how you feel about it we’re trying to have fun on a girls’ weekend for my friend’s bachelorette party and the last thing anyone wants to hear is extremely controversial political talk. I’m not a republican but we’re in the south here and not trying to start arguments or get shot. Thirdly- when our food came out my friends’ burgers rare and not medium (like bright pink) , my sweet tea wasn’t sweet at ALL (this is the South?!), when I got my turkey sandwich I had to take it apart to redistribute the meat because it was all in the center, and we had to ask for silverware, straws, and napkins because they didn’t give us any when we sat down. Don’t even get me started on the bathroom - you have to walk around kitchen stations to get to it while everyone is cooking and servers are moving in and out. We understand the Jeep Jam added some stress but the bartender said that it was a slower than usual day for them. If that’s a slow day I’d hate to be there...
Read moreWe had a great meal with a great waitress today.......until our waitress cashed us out and my 2nd strawberry came. Right away the color was off. My sister said maybe they gave you a peach. She had had a peach. I was like no big deal. Then I tasted it 🤮so sour. I gave her a taste and said did your peach taste like this. She said no, that's sour. I said I can't drink this. I knew our waitress was trying to cash out and leave so went up to the bar to have it replaced. Bartender totally ignored me. When he FINALLY acknowledged me I said I did not get a strawberry sangria. He says well I'll remake it but I'm pretty sure it was strawberry. I said well it tastes nothing like the first. So he is remaking it. I wait. He says whose your waitress. I pointed and said her but she's leaving. He ignored me. I'm still STANDING right in front of him and he asks her to bring it to me. I follow her to the table. She's says well you may as well drink this one. I'm just gonna throw it out. I said can't. It's so sour. I said look at the huge color difference. She agreed and I said well he was NOT happy he had to remake it. She Said well he's worked a double shift.
I dc if you have worked a double shift or there is no need to ignore or be rude to a Patron. I live 10 miles from the place and I will never go or bring visitors there again due to the Bartenders absolute RUDENESS. I was very polite about it and he was nothing but rude. So far as to ignore me standing right in front of him bothering our waitress who was trying to cash out and go home. So petty and unnecessary. I wish I had a side by side picture of the distinct difference in color much less the taste of the two sangria. ...
