Me and my fiance ate here both nights that we stayed at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks, we didn't want to sit in a restaurant due to Covid19, so we ordered takeout both nights, only took 15 minutes for our orders on a Friday and Saturday night. You must wear a mask when picking up the order. They were all masked and the servers I saw had face shields. The cashier had a mask and gloves. Your takeout is bagged up and sitting on a bar that is socially distanced from the cashier!
Their food was sooo amazing! The price is so reasonable and the amount of food you get is crazy awesome! The first night we both had the Reubens with onion rings!
They were so delicious! The onion rings were to die for. They are beer battered and I loved when you took a bite the whole onion didn't slip out of the batter, it just broke away with ease! I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but if you are a connoisseur of onion rings you know this is a problem.
The fact that the restaurant is just a walk down stairs and you don't have to drive anywhere is a major plus!
Tonight we both had the Country Fried Chicken with white gravy and steamed broccoli. It comes with a delicious side salad that wasn't soggy and their ranch taste like it's homemade and is so yummy! The salad has onions, cucumbers, fresh bacon bits, radish, carrots, and some broccoli! The gravy was on the side and they gave us two coffee cups full! The crust on the fresh fried chicken breast is so crispy and flavorful and the crust kept it's shape and doesn't crumble when you cut it. She even gave us real silverware and knives since we were staying in the hotel because she didn't want us to have to try and eat it with plastic utensils, which was super thoughtful of her!
They also included a fresh loaf of the steakhouse brown bread and butter, which was delicious with plenty left over for a snack later.
To top it off they included these sweet banana bread muffins for dessert and they were so delicious.
All in all, Myrtie Mae's is a delicious and convenient place to get your meals while staying here! The value and the amount of food you get, not to mention the quality will keep us coming back, every time we visit...
Read moreThis truly is a wonderful find in Euerka Springs! It is slightly hard to find as it is off the main rd and inside of the Best Western. But what a cute and cozy restaurant open to the public! They have a very nice, stocked, and clean salad and soup bar with lots of fresh veggies, fruit, muffins, dressings, and 2 hot soups. It is $10 for adults, $8 for kids, or add to an entree for around $3. My family loved the salad and soup! I got the liver and onions, which our server said was one of their most requested entrees, and it was delicious. My husband got their famous fried chicken, and it was perfectly fried and seasoned. Their mashed potatoes and gravy were homemade and delicious, too. We ended our meal with a slice of Arkansas Possum Pie, which was the best version I have ever had! It has pecans, cream cheese, and chocolate mousse and was $4 a slice. Our server, who I believe was named Arthur, was amazing. He was waiting on numerous tables, but he made time for everyone and never seemed rushed. We never waited for refills, and he cleared plates continuously. He was both polite and professional. Prices were very affordable, especially for the area. They even have a cute gift shop next to the restaurant. Bathrooms were downstairs, and you have to go down a very steep stairwell, so be advised. There were a lot of flies, which seems to be a big problem everywhere. I wish they had some discreet bug zappers by the door to prevent the flies on the salad bar. Overall, a wonderful casual restaurant for the whole family! We will...
Read moreFirst time visit w/my travel buddy to Eureka Springs, always up for an adventure and positive experiences...so imagine the disappointment of our first nights meal falling so short. 1st, let me say that our waitress Tammy was good as gold and is the only reason this review is getting 3 stars. She was prompt, friendly, and had a positive attitude. We both ordered the 2 piece fried chicken dinner, heavily breaded and average in taste. Where we found the whole experience soured was right as we stepped up to the restaurant entrance we were met by the hostess that announced that we could not enter without a face covering...OK, we can follow rules, however she seemed to take an unusual degree of pleasure in being a face mask enforcer. During our time there we overheard her loudly announce to newly arriving customers that 1)"You only have 10 minutes to order, so if you know what you want you better hurry up and order..." 2)"You're in violation of the law, you better have masks to wear, and put them on immediately, or you won't be allowed to enter here...!" Gee Wiz, that's the hostess, basically the face of the establishment!!! I was put totally off by her demeanor and obvious joy in running her fiefdom with an iron fist. Maybe it was an off night, but we have no interest in returning, when the town offers so many...
