I was excited to see a Marco’s come to Eustis/Mount Dora. I’m giving 5 stars, because the product is great and the owner/operator fixed my issue. Since they are just up and running, they still have to work the kinks out. Here’s some advice to get better...
Have a plan when the customer comes in. I came in for a carry out that I placed on the app. It worked well. The app said it would be ready by 6:17pm. I walk in at 6:15pm. I go to the front and tell them my name. The young lady turns around for a second and says it’s not up yet. I said, would you like me to pay for it now? She replies, oh ok, yes. So, moral of the story, have a plan, if a customer hasn’t paid yet, then let’s get that out of the way, so when their order is up they can leave.
Remain professional. While standing there for almost 30 minutes, I witnessed a lot of stuff that was unprofessional and should not be witnessed by a guest. I understand you guys are training, but keep the conversation professional.
Since I was standing there so long, I witnessed the cook take my pizza out of the oven and cut it. He placed it on the warmer to his far left. The wings came out next. He took them off the metal sheet and dumped them in to go container, sprayed some sauce, and shook them up. Then, placed them on the warmer next to the cheezy bread to his far right. So, for the last 10 minutes, my order was separated and not expedited because it looked incomplete. There were a ton of people in the back and perhaps there could be someone helping the cook complete each order.
Overall, my pizza was delicious. Wings a little soggy, but good flavor. Cheezy bread was good, too.
The owner/operator recognized and acknowledged the issues while I was there and made it right. And that is the reason why Marco’s will be my pizza of choice in the area. Thanks and looking forward to...
Read moreOrdered a delivery order of 3 pizzas at 10:29pm on 4/23/25. Their website says they close at 11pm. As soon as I placed the order I immediately got a call from Ricky who I guess was the shift supervisor. He said he didn't have a driver to deliver the pizzas to us. He said he would try to refund my order. I said we could just come by and pick up the pizzas since it says the pizzas would be ready in about 20-30 minutes, and we could be there by 10:45pm. Ricky said that wouldnt work. When we asked him why he couldn't really give us an answer, but I assume he just really didn't feel like making the pizzas and wanted to skip out early. Not really sure why Marcos has a closing time of 11pm when they won't even make you a pizza at 10:30. I guess their actually closing time is 10pm, or at least it is if their employees decide they're done working for the day. To make matters worse, he wasn't able to refund me the full amount that I paid but said the delivery fee would be a credit for a future purchase or I could come into the store to get my delivery fee reimbursed. Very disappointed with the way Ricky handled this. For Marcos to stop making pizzas at 10:30pm when they're supposed to be open til 11pm is false advertising. Read moreJust ordered a pizza from this location an hour and a half ago and can say I am beyond disappointed and frustrated with the service. I have eaten at this place since they first opened and never had one complaint until tonight. Ordered a XL cheese pizza at 7:10 was told it would be ready in 20 min. As I arrived the cashier informed me it wasn’t ready yet so I sat and waited patiently for 45 more mins watching countless customers come in and leave with there food. As I also had multiple employees walk up and ask me what my name was noticing I had been waiting for some time now and couldn’t figure out where my pizza was. During all this a manager (assuming that was his position) didn’t seem to care at all that I was still waiting for the simplest of pizzas for almost an hour now. Frustrated I bit my tongue out of respect towards the other customers in the store and waited. Finally I received my pizza! I went home not thinking to check the box like I normally would. As I get home my wife opens the box and notices the pizza for one was actually only a large but I paid for a XL, was burnt and 2 slices were literally stuck to the box because the dough was so thin on them.
