I am going to preface this review by saying I try to be pretty positive because being a server can be stressful, so I specifically went home and slept on the situation before deciding to post. But I am also such a frequent flier at the Bob's in Tulalip that I don't even have to order my (or my fiance's) drink, it is pretty much made as soon as we sit down. That is why I am so disappointed about this experience in Everett. Especially since my parents love going to this one for the brunch, so yes, we've been to this one quite a few times too. We (5 top) were brought to a table pretty promptly and were told our waitress would be there shortly. Within 2 minutes of us being seated, they seated 2 ladies across the aisle. We waited almost 10 minutes for our waitress to show up and take our drink orders. She came back shortly with just the chocolate milk for my nephew and told us the bar is backed up (okay, not her fault). We then requested waters for the table while we waited. 20 minutes later she brings us the rest of our drinks, still no water. My mom and I order the strawberry lemon drops. My same drink every time. This was not my drink. I will also add that she tried to drop an additional beer at our table that we had to straight up tell her couldn't be ours because the only person without an alcoholic beverage was 6. There was some sort of orange flavoring in our strawberry lemon drops. I finally waved down the waitress and tell her these arent our drinks and that my lemon drop had salt on the rim (I know sometimes they can mix due to an accident, but she basically told me I was lying, plus it was the saddest smallest amount of sugar/salt on like only half the rim). At which point she argued, went back to the bar, came back and told us again we were wrong and that if they make it again it would be the exact same even though you could look at it vs the pics on the menu and know(she didnt lie, apparently they just dont know how to make their own drinks at this location). At this point we are also still waterless and just want to order and I've settled that this is just how it is. Normally I have at least 2 or 3 of them with my meal, but even if I did want another one, she was never around and it was hard to just get water. We order and she finally delivers our waters 10 minutes after that, at this point the ladies at the 2 top are almost done with their meals and we were just getting water. Our app was mozz sticks and hot, no complaints there. We packed all our plates in a nice neat pile from the salads that three of us had plus the mozz stick dish. Those remained on the table until after we left, we never really found out why she never took them and left all our empty shakers and glasses on the table until after we left, too. Then dinner came around. Most was good, except my nephews fish and chips was cold. All of it. We were at this point done with complaining to this waitress because it isn't effective, and we just wanted to eat since we'd been there an hour at this point. My brother also used the phrase, "this burger tastes like any burger I've ever made at home". After we were finishing she came around and I requested a to go box and she asked if I would like a lid for my ranch. Yes, please. Well I got my to go box, but never a lid for the ranch. I was so over my interaction with her that I didnt even ask for one because I didnt want to wait. We waited for her to come back to pick up the check and she never did. Thankfully we had cash, we gave her $12 I think tip on a $130 bill. That is the cheapest I've ever tipped someone, I prefer (because I have worked in a bar and steakhouse) AT LEAST a 25% tip. That was how incredibly unhappy we all were. Service was slow, my waitress told me pretty vehemently that I was wrong and basically lying (customer is not always right, but in this case I was), and the food was mediocre to bad. I was so disappointed that this was the restaurant we ended up at for my mom's birthday, it was a huge mistake to go here and I will be sticking with the Tulalip one...
Read moreThis is my first time dining at Bob’s Burgers. Unfortunately I picked the Everett location because I was closer. So many red flags that my experience was going to go bad. Here’s my experience at the Everett location:
The host. Black kid, wearing a plain black t shirt and black pants with Travis Scott braids(the rapper), sitting down as the host, on his cellphone. As a black man myself, I’m going to state the obvious! Why, why , why is this person wearing a plain black t, sitting down, no enthusiasm, not even a hello, just a “how many people?” What? Are you kidding me? All major franchises have grooming standards! Sitting down as the host? Why is he not wearing a Bob’s burgers uniform shirt, and is he on his cellphone sitting down? Where are the standards? Why is his hair in those braids as the host?
The owner was super nice and friendly and accommodated us the remainder of our experience. She even took care of the appetizers, and gave us a voucher for next time. Thank you for being present ma’am! I appreciate you.
Key Takeaways: I know what customer service is supposed to be. I didn’t receive that at this location until the end. Train the host and set a high standard for the front of the house. No host should ever be in a plain t shirt, nor sitting, and most of all NEVER on their cell phone. Greet customers to your with high energy to the establishment and review uniform and grooming policies. Those braids are NOT acceptable. I’ve researched. A collared shirt or Bob’s Burgers apparel is appropriate. Your employees need further training on de-escalation. Under no circumstances, is a customer service person working in food service, should their ever be a “back and forth” with customers. If your employees are having a problem, it should NEVER take the owner to fix the problem. Customer service can and shall be handled at the lowest level possible. If your employees can’t handle customer criticism, then they should not be in customer service for food. De escalate is the point. This is a direct reflection of your leadership and this is sub par. Hopefully you can learn from this and fix the...
Read moreI gave this experience a 3 because the food is always good.
The service wasn't, our waitresses didn't bring our food out like she said she would she didn't take the time to check on us and after being seated she took her sweet time 10 minutes plus to take our order we were 1 of 4 tables 1 of 4 and another server had 2 of the 4.
We had 2 kids with us she didn't bring extra napkins, we had to look for her to get napkins after waiting for a bit, I went up to the front counter and I saw her sitting at another table eating. Maybe a break which is okay, only after you have checked on her (two)( 2) tables.
We order 3 appetizer and she only brought one of the out then didn't come back to the table till we waved her down when asked where the other appetizers were she stated the rest of our food was up avoiding the question asked. Where were are other appetizers.
My daughter in law order a Caesar salad and was brought a dinner salad with caesar dressing and yes we paid for a caesar salad.
Again the food is great but this is the second time we have been disappointed at this Bob's.
I have had great service at Marysville, Burlington & Bellingham but Everett doesn't seem to have dialed in on service accept one time we had a male gentleman he was great, he was even working the evening we came in this past week, we had all wished we had been sat in his area.
Our bill was $94 an change I left a $100 bill in hopes it covers the taxes she will pay.
As for service maybe this will be an eye opener tips are earned not guaranteed and should never be expected.
Evertt Mall has many restaurants we chose Bob's because we like the food, but I can't say I will return to this Bobs, I don't go out to eat to be frustrated by a server who doesn't...
